From what I've experienced it is a problem with UVMapping of the hair, the parts are placed a bit too close on the uvmap and some of the background gets into the render on full body shots. You could try to raise the pixel samples and lower min shading rate to zero and see if it makes any change. Hope this helps, Michal 4blueyes

For me she definitely looks like one of mari_e17 characters, I just cannot tell free ones or not. Here is the link to her freestuff Michal 4blueyes
Thread: Can someone help my foriend with this Problenm in Poser 7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Creating separate runtimes for each figure should solve the problem for future. Just keep in mind that the !DAZ folder and its contents in the Runtime:libraries should be better copied as well to the core runtime because sometimes Poser7 throws fits if it doesn't see them there. Also keep in mind that all DAZ figures create quite a mess in the Runtime:libraries:Pose with all these hundreds of "!V3 this" and "!V3 that" folders :) You can safely move the "!something" files to separate folders from the root Pose directory, like: Runtime:libraries:Pose:V3_INJ_REM:all the !V3 files or Runtime:libraries:Pose:SP3_INJ_REM:all the !SP3 files Maybe if you take a closer look at these files you will find the poses that you feel are lost and reorganize the Pose folder to your liking. And yes, DAZ people load untextured (unlike e-frontier figures) and you have to load a MAT file onto them to get a decent look. Most probably it is made so to save up on the resources as Poser remembers each and every texture you load in a session and very little amount of people is actually using the base maps if they have this choice, preferring to use separately acquired character packs for that. Hope this helps :) Michal 4blueyes
Thread: V4 maps do not connect together in renders..what the?! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thread: NUDITY | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Basic poser knowledge: if it is a non-body texture containing poser shader applied to the matzones of the body itself (especially if it is identical shader for the torso and nipple matzones) there is no way to see the nipples through that. Because there are no nipples under the thing. Because there is nothing for anything to be under in fact :) Aiko is shaded exactly like that (aside from color) on DAZ Aiko3 page and those guys are far more strict on the nudity policy than Renderosity could ever imagine to be. Do we have to worry about possible interpretations of the thumbnail image now? Or some shaders and lighting conditions now are considered unsafe because they MIGHT make a person look nude? I am all for nudity control and the like, in fact you could see me defending the thumbnail and gallery changes rather err ... rabidly (?) back in the days. I am completely not into making nudes (as a clothing maker I have to advertise the benefits of clothing after all LOL) but this situation made me completely befuddled. Michal 4blueyes
Thread: V4 maps do not connect together in renders..what the?! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - hi all,
I was wondering why i am getting this type of situation.
I am setting up v4 and putting maps on but as i do a render i find that for whatever reasons the maps for the various body parts do not connect together to form a seamless look.It is like when you render the maps shrinks on the character and you can see the seams as to where they should join up together.
it does not happen to me with v3 or any other figures...just v4..
When i put on the default maps from daz it seems that the problem does not show up, but when i load other maps the problems shows...
what could be the cause of this?
If I understand you correctly: some merchants create the textures too close to the edge of the UVmapping and with texture filtering or in general lower rendering options the color (usually white) around the texture on the jpg shows in the rendering (so called bleeding). If you look closely at the DAZ maps you will see that the actual textures are surrounded by a color that is very close to the base skin color of the texture. This is why the seams are not visible while you use these maps, the color bleeding is almost the same as the textures. V4 has more seams and they are in more places, maybe this is why it is so visible unlike V3? A screenshot of the problem would be great :) Michal 4blueyes

My Ice Crown freebie has some P5+ shaders that looks like ice: ![file_1164451.jpg](http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/media/folder_117/file_1164451.jpg) Maybe it is what you look for? You can load the crown into the poser and copy the shader settings from it to anywhere you need after applying the necessary MATpose. What version of poser do you use and what figure? I was informed some time ago that Poser5 SR4 (the free one) sometimes refuses to work properly in the ClothRoom. Could you try to make the simulation in a new scene with a new figure and the dynamic clothing item and nothing else (like hair or even textures) added? Michal 4blueyes

Thread: new problem with clothes | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Looks like the nipple morphs (if dialed on Vicky) are not supported in the clothing item (or you have to find and dial them manually). There can be a problem with the Collars JCMs too (from what I see in the upper chest pokethrough) - mostly you need to dial them manually too in Poser. Some clothes have the dials on the Body part and some have them in the chest and both collars - look for something like "l/rCollarBend" or "l/rCollarUp". Hope this helps somehow :) Michal 4blueyes

You can use your Rendo file locker for hosting freebies but I am not entirely sure if it is big enough for hosting textures. I mostly host my freebies on my own server so using file locker is purely theoretical for me :) MichalThread: Still need help with Daz3d - M3 - Ultra Body Suit... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You have to load Michael 3 and his Bodysuit into the scene (exactly the way ezuk is writing in the post above - very good walkthrough). The MATs that you are trying to apply to Michael are supposed to go to the bodysuit, so you have to choose the bodysuit in the scene (not Mike) before applying the MAT poses from the folder :) Michal 4blueyes

I'd agree with Lucifer_The_Dark on lowering the AO on the light1 - 0.4 is enough. Lowering the Shadow intensity on the shadow casting light to 0.7 instead of default 1 can make some effect too. Try to increase the shadow blur radius to 5-10 on the raytraced shadows casting light (light 2 as far as I see). Hope this helps :) Michal 4blueyes
