It is definetly something non-Poser installed or not installed on the system. I just got Poser last Christmas from Curious Labs, and installed it on both of my computers, directly from the CD. I then downloaded some free transmaps that were in .GIF format onto one computer then disked it over to the other. These files COULD be read by my older computer, but could NOT be read on my new one (the one I primarily use). Further, the reflection maps can't be read in their default format on my new computer (not sure about the older one). This doesn't really shed any light on the matter, but it does provide more data :-P

Are you sure that the cellar isn't casting shadows of its own? Try lighting the scene only with spot lights inside the cellar object, and with cast shadows enabled for that object.
