I don't know if it can be useful, but times ago I saw a japanese site with a Bryce 5 to Vue 4 converter... Here is the url http://www.angelfire.com/mac2/bryce2vue/ But as you have Bryce 4 maybe it won't work. As everyone said, Poser import in Vue works well, it is as easy as load an object;) when the Poser files is too "heavy" Vue can be slower but I think it is normal;) Choosing between Vue and Vue Pro depends for what you will use it... As a professional or as a hobby, most for still or animations...

There is a man headhunter who was looking for a mangrove too, maybe you can ask him? Maybe someone can do something for you with Vue Pro's plant editor?

Another way with just Vue ;) Create a new scene with "no atmosphere" atmosphere. New scene -> Others -> No Atmosphere Switch to top camera. Delete the Sun. Select the Ground, and edit the material. Edit the Color function by right clicking on the dark sphere in the color tab (and choose edit function of course). Add a Wavelet function. You just have to click on the list near the bottom left corner (None) and choose Wavelet. OK. Change the colormap to have something that goes from white to black. Click in the colormap (which is normally beige) to edit it. OK, now we have to render. In the render settings choose a square format (ratio), it will be easierlater ;) and render! Save the Picture. Create a new scene (the final one) and add a terrain. In the terrain editor load the picture (in terrain option) you've just render and set it to 100%. Choose a good material for the terrain, scale the terrain prettily (z axis)and render! You can add a little sphere just over the surface toadd realism maybe:) Play with the function editor to get something you want! Hope it helps and that it is clear enough. Another way could be to add a wavelet function to a plane terrain (in the terrain editor) but it seems like you can't choose the origin of the function...Bizarre Anty

There is one for Vue Pro and the other one for both Pro and Esprit, but it seems that people prefer post in the one for both product even if the problems are just for Pro ;) Maybe the fear told users not to post the first on the Pro forum (just a bravous person could do that...) :) Professional needs maybe a dedicated forum because they don't want to be mixed with the whole people:)

Thread: Your Opinions on VUE 4 PRO? | Forum: Vue
It works fine for me too. Sometimes there are some misunderstanding with Pro and me, but it generally do what I want. Synchronization works good (for 3DS), and it is very useful (you will get better results with Pro than with plugins) Poser import works good too. Sometime Poser figures looks better in Vue than in Poser (they can breath in fact;)) Maybe you can make your own opinion with the trial version? (to see if your station is able to receive Vue Pro;)) The box looks fine and robust too (I don't know what other thinks about that?)! When you have it in the hand you can feel the power;) The books is interesting, but be careful...friends of yours will try to steal your Vue Pro bookmark, and will persecute you to receive Vue Pro postcards! I think it is nice to have stuff like that in a software! In fact it seems like eon take care of people's feeling with their soft. You can't really compare Bryce and Vue Pro. Bryce is quite old, and not specifically oriented to professional. But it is good in its category (even if I didn't like the interface at all). I'm with gillbrooks to say that WB and WCS aren't userfriendly. But there is people who are able to use them;) Hope it helps.
