The obvious solution finally occurred to me right after I posted that. Export from Poser, and use that obj to make morphs. Don't know why it took me so long to think of it. I had been trying to use the original pre-imported version.

But if you use any of the converters it won't look like it's the exact same outfit. It will be resized and reshaped for the figure. If you want it to look like a woman woke up in a man's clothes, you will have to use dynamic clothes.

Clothes Converter does a pretty good job, and comes with support for those two built-in. I could never figure out how to keep the morphs in the clothing, but it's supposed to be able to, so maybe it's just my computer.

Yes, I wanted to fit some clothes on a V4 male character, and it would also be nice to just have some more gender-neutral clothing for V4. Seems like it should be easy. It's easier to fit things to her female form than her male form. Why do you ask?

I bought that. It's useful; thanks. Sorry to be so clueless, but I still can't figure out how to make more than one level of groups with it. It won't let me put a group inside another group. So when I inject it in Poser, I get the subgroups "eyes," "ears," etc., but not with all of them inside another folder. I suppose I can make one in Poser but I'd have to do it each time I use it. Is there something I'm missing?

If you want to do this and you think you can do what he wants, you have a deal. I think he just wants to pose the guy for artistic cover pictures for his videos. He makes his own skins and wants to be able to use them on it. He's not home right now, but I googled the skins, and found this template: His laptop was stolen recently so he's having to start over on a lot of things. I don't really know what he was doing before because it's not my thing.

Buy me Poser File Editor by Dimension3d here in the store and I'll build, uv, and rig one of the fellows for you. 26 bucks. Just sayin', not a bad price for a custom built rigged character. All rights yours of course. If you have doubts as to my ability to create such a figure, download one of my figures and take a look.
Tempted. I'm assuming you would make it bend in more places than they do in Minecraft. He wants it to take the 1.8 skins (I could ask him for one to send you.)

It doesn't actually say how to make the categories, I think it's assuming I already know. I'm trying to organize them and get them out of the long "Morph" list. You know how if you inject a set of head morphs it will be organized into "nose," "eyes," etc., and you can click on them to expand them? That's what I want.

Thanks, I did a basic one following the instructions and it was very easy. Too tired too figure out how to make the categories tonight; will try it tomorrow.

I saw them, they look good. I tried importing a Collada into Poser from Blender, and as I said, it loads sideways, because the axes are different in Blender. Seems like someone must have figured out the solution to that, but I googled it and couldn't find it. If we could just get one in there he could start making pictures with it and there would be less of a rush on modeling one ourselves.

Btw flibbits, your idea is brilliant. I was disappointed my son didn't go for it. It's an interactive world, and they can do whatever they want. I hope somebody does it.
