Thanks for the cudo's guys! All of our CD's are auto-run and open in your web browser. The pages as you see them on our site are exactly what you see on the finished product (except of course on the CD the models are included). You simply browse to the model that you want, right click on the thumbnail and save the model to your drive wherever you want to put it. So the answer is YES, there's a thumbnail image of virtualy every model and you don't have to copy them all to your hard drive at once. You can save them as you need them. Hope that explains and thanks so much for asking! Ed

Starving Artist agreement applies to free stuff. Very few restrictions as is stated in that agreement. Just about anything goes in rendered works, for sale or not. Video, film and games require a bit of additional contact and of course there is no re-distribution allowed of the mesh itself. Email me with specific questions if you have them, you'll find me very agreeable I'm sure. Cheers!

I always deal with a certain amount of apprehension when grouping objects in models. The trick is to get as few groups as possible but not restrict the user in their texturing efforts. For things like the columns, try using a picture texture and 'object cubic' mapping. In most of my models there are hundreds of parts before grouping and that's just way to many to make someone go through and texture. Hope that helps explain, and I'll make a note about things like columns in future models of this type. Thanks for the feedback, Ed

As an aside...... Photoshop will export Illustrator splines directly (these are vectorized by Max on import). Don't know if any other programs can use them or not. I did a tut some time ago on using them in Max. It's on our tutorial page under the title AI Paths to Max at www.baument.comThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
