Hi DaleB
With the regrettable exception of functional IK foot/floor contact solver,
Daz studio 4.12 has ALL of the character animation features you have listed Including four options for audio based lipsynch.
Sadly posers animation tools have been left to languish for a decade :-(
Hey, Wolf! Oh trust me, I know. But hope springs eternal. I'm rebuilding things, as my CG box was utterly horked by a Win 10 upgrade, to the point it wouldn't boot. I do have the Iclone 5.5 and 3DXchange we talked about long long ago, so I have that work around (just have to import the obj's and scale them properly to build basic environments to animate in, then import into Poser for detail work then out to Vue to render. Bit of a Rube Goldberg pipeline, but it works, so....). I don't expect anything in the first real release as I know changing code takes time to get right. But if no one asks, things get ignored for the higher volume stuff. If they do address the issues in the cloth room and hair room, they almost have to address at least some of the animation issues, as those processes are animated. One can but hope

Thank you. Not quite in a position to take the dive on the new one, although it does have some lovely options.

Wishlist time again? Cool. First time I've been her in a couple of years and look at all the changes.

Wow. Go offline for a couple of years and everything changes on you.....
Hey Wabe! How are the 'legacy' Vue versions going to be treated? My CG system was utterly horked by a Win 10 update, then I had a mild heart attack (unrelated, thankfully) and the usual tight budgets for awhile. I've got the system rebuilt and have most of my stuff working at least, but my last Vue was the 2015 Infinite. Obviously the built in activator is searching for an E-on server that doesn't seem to exist anymore. Are the older versions just out of luck, or what?
Thread: Any New Vue Infinite on the Horizon? | Forum: Vue
According to a known employee on the E-on forums yes there is, and they -hope- to get it out before midsummer (the actual statement was they hoped to get it out before the date the last version was released, but that post was a few months old, and software releases only slide in time....). That's all the info that I've seen so far
Thread: I'm using win7 64 bit, Poser 2014 and REALLY want to get back into Vue... | Forum: Vue
According to Steve Bell at E-on, they are hoping to field the next version of Vue this spring. As to the support for P-11, this is mostly a matter of shaders, as with the addition of Superfly to Poser, the shaders have changed somewhat, plus there is the Cycles format shader options. I can't say if there are other issues, as I was stupid and upgraded the CG box to Win 10, which has utterly horked things. Vue 2015 works fine in Win 10 so far as I can tell.
One option would be to run the import from an older version of Poser. The latest SDK is from 2013, I believe, so P9 works, as I believe does P10.

You're welcome, Ero!
'Bullet proof rigging for animation', eh? Sounds like a challenge, sport. And yes, that is one of the things I'm hoping she does very well!

Umm, I think people are so busy trotting out arguments that they missed the forest for the trees.
Ero is first and foremost making PE for -his own purposes-. Just as he did all the McGuyvering known as Lali's Bits for V4; it was for -his- comics. The impression I've gotten is that he's kind of gotten dragged into selling his non comic content. Or put another way, IMHO he doesn't give a rat's fuzzy ass about the 'vendor market' and all its nonsense and the self proclaimed pseudo experts proclamations. He isn't looking to be the next Davo or Stone Mason or anyone else. He isn't cackling maniacally over a modeling program, waiting for lightning to strike the kite flying on a copper wire to help create THE V4 KILLER.....!!!!!(add ramping reverb+echo). He's making a figure for his own creative needs, and is proving kind enough to actually share that with the rest of us.
Why does he keep bringing up V4? because like a lot of us, he has a lot of clothing for said mesh, and he would like to continue using it in his comic projects. Which makes sense when you think of things as resources, not fetish objects. The more existing resources can be used, the less interruption in workflow exists when moving to newer, more capable tech (face it kids, V4 is still Poser 4 tech with a big helping of community created kludges to make it halfway work right).
I'm more than happy to wait for him to get things right, and judge things on the actual result. Not on what so and so thinks or 'everybody knows'. Remember, everybody 'knew' that the world was flat, once. Ooops.

Looks like the toes are rigged as well, and well done, ero. Waiting patiently for the new lady...... ;)

Just so everyone here knows, the re rig of Pauline that I am working on uses the exact same joint centers as the default Pauline does. It is done that way so it is compatible with content, not to start another version completely. It wont require scripts, or a Masters Degree in Poser to use. You can simply copy the rigging to the cloth for many things. Here is the progress, there are no jcms in it at all.
I have considered doing a radical departure rigging wise, but it isn't like anyone here wants a figure that actually bends like a real person does..
Hey, I've wanted to play with some of your rigs for some time.... ;)

The new library is HTML5, but AIR is still in there, and if you are having issues with the new library, at least some folks have been able to start the AIR library after starting P-11 and use that for scanning your runtime and loading things. According to Netherworks and Nerd3D (iirc), there is no mechanism left to -save- things back to the library, but for loading and viewing, you can fire up AIR.
Some folks are having issues with the new library that have been reported already, so if you are one of the unlucky ones, its workarounds until the first SR, which is coming very soon as it is mostly launch bug fixes they say.

Whelp, I got my PPro 11. Got it installed. And have the blank library pane issue. Have also tried one AIR hack, which fails. So I guess I get to wait to see if there is a fix, or if the fact I haven't let Win 7 update since I got it stable a couple years ago (and most assuredly did not allow IE11) means I didn't get the required HTML5 libraries. Or if Norton is being a putz about it.
I love configuration issues....

You're welcome, Nagra_00_ ;) I can't claim to have been on the net since the days of ARPA, but I have been since the days of GEnie and before AOL was a glimmer in some corporate drone's eye. So precision was something I kinda learned from the get go. When you are dealing with questions that tread into the realm of Mickey Mouse laws, poorly defined concepts like IP rights, and the DMCA, you have to assume each and every word is wrapped with razor wire and filled with stale nitroglycerin.
As to the strange game, well, that has been going on since Poser 5 was introduced, and just about all the evidence has been lost as to what was actually said in the disappearances of sites, and the multiple purges of the boards both here and and DAZ. Maybe it still exists on the Wayback Machine, or another archiving service, but at this point it isn't relevant, and the strange game has taken on a life of its own, like all energy beasts do.
Aaaand to remain on topic, doesn't Superfly look cool when used properly?
