usb drive + corrupted driver = lockups at boot, stalling BIOS, odd insert disk messages.
windoze has an appetite for drivers it loves to eat them. I've had to put my franken-puter back together many times cuz of that.
next time you can't boot from a CD, unplug all the drives except the cd/dvd and try booting, then you might be able to access the BIOS.

Thread: Some sellers have lost all sense of reality. | Forum: Suggestion Box
Fascinating discussion.
resource kits are the downfall of textures? what rubbish. Resource kits are how people who don't or can't model get their "dial-spun" characters into the market.
What I find truly bizarre is that people expect to pay $5 - 10 for the same things that a tattoo shop pays $100 or MORE.
and don't even get me started on quality and realism. Has anyone EVER seen a texture set with a properly made, hand-painted bump map? How about any map with no baked on artifacts?
The "raw materials" are the friggin problem! They need to be processed before use just like raw iron!
Sorry, I'm ranting and raving again, I'll climb off the soapbox now ....

Yeah, they are FAST dealing with copyright stuff ... sometimes TOO fast. Let me explain. Sometimes they will deny or remove a design if they suspect a violation, not just an actual violation but even just a hint or rumour of it. It sucks to have a design that you spent hours on get removed because it looks similar to something you never heard of.

Thread: We Need Two Renderositys | Forum: Suggestion Box
ahh yes, 1999. Back in the days of PFO. I always thought this was a place for amateurs and professionals alike to showcase their work and help each other learn. The complainers are only more noticeable now because this place has gotten HUGE. I for one, do NOT want to see the openness of Renderosity go away.

They're used for bayonet training. Basically it's just a 5' stick with 12'' padding on both ends. I'm sure some bored modeler could whip one up in a few minutes. Don't look at me, I'm NO modeler, I just do textures and pinups.

It's called a Pugil stick, we used them in the Army. I couldn't find a link for you, but maybe knowing what it's called will help.

I have a stack of scanned designs done by my wife and I.. (both of us are ink junkies :) I plan to turn them ALL into digital products. This freebie is the first step (once it gets approved, that is). I'll probably give away a few more at a later date.

Zazzlers often have multiple stores for different types of designs. Not to mention that there is a limit to how many products/designs a store can have. Each store has a different name and a different username, even if they are on the same account. I know it's confusing but it's just the way things work at Zazzle.
Yes Miss Nancy, they do allow nudity, but they are VERY particular about it. It takes a while to understand what they mean by "artistic nudity", but it is possible. They even have a rating system in place for design content. I have a few products there that are considered "adults only". You have to be logged in to zazzle to see them though.
