Bruce, You're going to love this..... When saving the morph, set the FBM to 0. Set the morph dial on the body part to the desired setting. Then (are you ready?) export the body part WITH THE SAVE AS MORPH TARGET BOX UNCHECKED!!!!! Isn't that a hoot? I don't know why, but that is what works for me. I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: Movies & Render | Forum: Poser Technical
Also check that the play range at the bottom of the key frame page is set for the entire animation. You can also set it on the make movie start/end selection. I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: Invisible, like the predator | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, you can do that. Go to Render>Materials, and set the invisibility to near 100% You can see through it, but can see the highlights. I don't think you can make it blurry, but you can come close to the Predator effect. I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: The Backup Blues!!! | Forum: Poser Technical
There is a way to have the swap file reside on the other drive. That would probably solve the problem. I've done it in the past, but unfortunately, I don't remember how to do it. I did it on my last computer, but not on my current one. Sometimes knowing something is possible is a help. I believe it is under Control Panel/System/Virtual Memory. I think you can change the drive there. I hope this helps you, Ericroy
Thread: Complete newbie | Forum: Poser Technical
If you export it as an obj file, then you must run a program such as UV Mapper. Then you can apply textures or colors when you bring it back into Poser. UV Mapper is by Steve Cox and you can get it here: http://www.uvmapper.com/ I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: Got a head problem!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There are two types of cameras, the studio (or 3D) cameras and the orthoganal cameras. The Left, Right, Top, Bottom, Front, and Back cameras are orthogonal cameras - they produce orthographic projections. In an orthographic projection, all objects appear flat. These cameras are different from the perspective views provided by the other cameras. In a perspective view, the scale of objects diminishes as their distance from the camera increases. The orthogonal cameras display flat perspectivefree scenes; the studio cameras display scenes in 3D. I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: Create a cr2 file---how? | Forum: Poser Technical
To create a CR2 file, select the figure in the main window. Then select a sub-directory under Figures. Click the + and give the figure a name. With ProPack, to save a CR2 file, be sure that file compression is turned off before saving to the figure library. Otherwise, it will be saved as CRZ. To turn file compression off, go to Edit>General Preferences and uncheck the Save Compressed Files box. I hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: Let there be lights... Just these... No not those too! | Forum: Poser Technical
If you are using ProPack, there are some Python scripts (available in the Free section at Renderosity) that will do what you want. Otherwise, I don't know of any automated way of removing the unwanted lights. Hope this helps, Ericroy

Thread: Question about floors | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You can use Poser's floor (Ground) by going to the Hierarchy Editor under the Window pulldown and setting Ground to visible. Then you can apply a texture to it under Render/Materials. You can also make your own floor by using the cube prop and reducing the height (Y coordinate) and enlarging the width and depth (X nd Z coodinates). Hope this helps, Ericroy

I am running the latest version of Poser4/ProPack on WinME. However, I installed Poser4 new (not an upgrade for 3). Ericroy

Thread: problems with poser!!! Please help me!! | Forum: Poser Technical
I've seen a lot of messages on these forums that say it's a Windows98 problem rather than a Poser problem. Here's a link to a few: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=587241 Hope this helps, Ericroy
Thread: Walk around a Ball | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've done it by first creating the (x and z) walk path. Then when that's done, turn inverse kinematics off and adjust the Y coordinate of the hip so the character follows the terrain. It's a pain. It requires a lot of fine tuning. This is the only way I know of doing it. I hope this helps, Ericroy
