Thread: Paypal Having Problems | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I just talked to them it's a worldwide outage, they are expecting it could take 5 days to get resolved. If you call them, and go through ID verification, they will remove 2 step authentication so you can get in. Any case, I'll complete that purchase.
Thread: Zombie-ish texture for G8 Female? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Deecey if you are reasonably adept at Photoshop or Gimp it is not all that hard to alter an existing skin to work, and actually can be fun to do. It's one of the easier modifications to make. The morphs Shani uses are something else again ;)
Thread: Does Rendo's Poser 11.2 Allow working offline? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When DAZ introduced DRM products a couple of years ago there was similar back and forth about it. What you have to realize though is very few people use forums, so comments here are not significant. What was significant at DAZ is they couldn't sell DRM products. And when they figured that out, they stopped trying. They never admitted they were wrong, nobody cared anyway, but they started out saying that any DRM product would have the DRM removed after one year, and at that point there was no new DRM product being offered.
Rendo wants to sell you Poser. 11.2 was a bridge product, leaving all the other changes all they were trying to do is move from Smith Micros servers to theirs. There is going to be a next major Poser release. If it still phones home I think you can figure out the answer.
Thread: Please Add 32-BIT SUPPORT DROPPED To Poser Store Pages | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
The last Intel chip for PC's that did not have 64 bit support was the Pentium 4 which finished it's run in 2008. So yes, you are talking at least a 10 year old computer. Note: Some Pentium 4's did support 64 bit, that's just the last chip Intel made that didn't. For embedded computing 32 bit chips still exist, you will not find those in PC's.
That isn't to say people weren't running 32 bit OS on 64 bit platforms, there is no reason you couldn't still do that. Except of course it would be extremely stupi... er "inefficient" to do so.
Thread: Cant find clothing in daz 3d | Forum: Community Center
If you are looking under smart content you aren't going to see it unless the vendor included a file to add it there, which most of them don't. You should be able to see it under the content library. You would have to add a database entry for it to see it under smart content, which is database driven.
Thread: Bondware and Poser: Then End is Nigh... | Forum: Community Center
If you want to complain about EULA's you are in the wrong place. You need to be complaining to your representatives in congress in the US, or whatever legislative body in the country you are in to outlaw the practice. Businesses are going to do whatever government allows them to do. Frankly I have the same complaints about Windows 10 and you know what? If I complain about them really loudly on a message board it will change squat.
The type of thing you are doing here is analogous to walking into a Walmart and screaming at the top of your lungs about them turning us all into unpaid employees by making us check out our own items. It will make you feel better until they kick you out. Whether or not you are correct.
And I stopped using Poser with the 2012 version in part because I very much disliked Smith Micro's business practices as a company. I did not however scream at the top of my keyboard about it at the time. Because I had better things to do with my time.
Thread: Daz3d Forums & Daz 3D Accounts Servers Down? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Thread: Why..........why...........why | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It would work the same way there as here. If a company wanted to do business they would have to comply. That's what is forcing Facebook and Google on the Privacy issue. It certainly isn't the US Government doing that.
Thread: Why..........why...........why | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
First, everybody is correct, the problem is with Smith Micro that added in calling the mothership every time you fired up the software. Rendo just did what it had to to make the software work with SM closing down their authentication server. If you want a new feature in the next major version of Poser to be NOT calling the mothership every time you crank it up now would be a good time to ask for it.
EULA's in general are a bigger question. That you need to call your congress critter about and ask to have laws limiting those things. It isn't just software, many large companies are enforcing binding arbitration the same way. If this annoys you, and it should, you need to let them know it's a priority if they want to continue to get elected.
Thread: Someone needs to kick the Rendo proof reader | Forum: Community Center
Perhaps you could hire the person that proof reads the Yahoo articles...oh BTW, the Emoji code domain has expired. Not that I could ever get those to work

Thread: Downloading Multi-File Products | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
When I get a whole bunch of stuff it helps not to miss files if I download a whole product at a time - except of course when the whole product doesn't download ;)
Thread: what is mirrored pose | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Technically it's the pose you would see in a mirror, hence the name ;) More to the point, the left and right sides of the body are reversed.
Thread: Are ADH3D's Clothing Packs Daz Genesis Friendly? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
It looks like a lot of those clothes are for Poser Models rather than M4. Getting those ported are a lot trickier, and will be a manual process you probably don't want to be bothered with. If they are for M4, there are existing scripts that can be used to get them to fit the genesis line with varying results.
Technically you can get any clothing to fit if you're willing to spend the time. Sometimes a lot of it.
