Superfly is based on Blender Cycles renderer. Branched Path Tracing in Cycles is not fully developed, but it does come in handy if you render materials with caustics, like glass. That's about it. It was supposed to reduce fireflies and noise in a render if there were lots of glossy materials with transparencies, like glass materials. But Cycles has no less than 3 different ways to reduce noise in a scene now, and with GPU AI denoising, noisy renders are no longer an issue. I would only use branched path if you want or need nice caustics rendered in the scene. Otherwise, always keep it turned off. Renders will take longer with it on.

Personally, I would ask for my money back for Poser Debut, wherever you bought it. Unless they have a disclaimer that it requires Flash components to run and may cause security issues on newer OS, then you have a valid case to ask for money back,

Windows blocks it too. Like I said above, Flash is completely done. All software vendors have been moving away from it since 2017, and now in 2020 it's been phased out of Safari browser, and Chrome has it disabled by default. Adobe wanted people to uninstall it a couple years ago, and most AntiVirus software, including windows defender, will block it automatically.
I know all this, but it's easier to get around it in Windows (ill-advised as that may be). Agree that Flash is not long for this world, but I also think many people will continue to use it, like people with older versions of Poser.
I don't know where he bought Poser Debut, but I hope it wasn't here. They shouldn't be selling it since it's no longer safe and will not function on newer OS.
As randym77 suggests, it's actually easy to bypass on Windows. You can disable your antivirus and Windows security features and then it should run. However, I strongly advise against that too. I'd rather see someone using an old copy of Windows XP, Vista, or Win 7 on an old machine just to run that type of stuff. It's fine as long as it isn't connected to the internet in any way, then you're safe.
You might be able to run it in Windows 10 sandbox I don't know. Sandbox is only available to Windows Pro version though I think.

The problem is Apple flat-out blocks Flash, at least the older versions that work with Poser. I don't think there's any way around it.
I think buying Poser Debut was a mistake. You should upgrade, not downgrade. Buy the new version, not an obsolete version. Especially since you have a Mac, which isn't as open to tinkering.
You can try the newest version of Poser for free:
https://www.posersoftware.com/downloads
There's a 21 day free trial period, and if you like it, you can get upgrade pricing, since you own older versions of Poser.
Alternately, you could try DAZ Studio, which is free, and has a reputation for being user friendly.
So, like I said, one option is to just use an old computer with an old OS that is not connected online, and use it for your old software that still uses flash. Or try to return Poser Debut (they shouldn't even be selling that anymore since it will not run on modern OS).

Quality is key. Second is only selling stuff that is in the highest demand. This means stuff for the latest and greatest figures. If your products are environments, then see again quality. Lastly, advertise. Announce your products in social media, on forums, and get the word out. Hopefully you have a big social media following, because that seems to help some people get the word out on new stuff. If not, just get your ads out there somehow.

A guy in another thread had a problem running Poser Debut for the same reason. The reality is that Flash is no longer being supported because it's a serious malware threat now, with many backdoors. Even Apple has got rid of it in Safari this year, and no software going forward will have it. Windows 10 defender won't even let you install many of the Flash installers or any app containing Flash now. Adobe has urged everyone to disable Flash, and Google Chrome has Flash addon disabled by default. You have to manually enable it to run Flash-enabled web content or pages.
So, I think your only choice, if you really want to run something with flash is to get yourself an old, outdated computer that is not connected to the internet and using an older OS and just install it there. You can find an old Windows Vista system for next to nothing these days, or even something with Windows 7. Just don't connect it to the internet.

Here's some more details... regarding the fire at the top, I'd probably just use simple box modeling, starting with a typical cube.
And here it is combined into one...
Again, I don't know if you were looking for a round bottle shape with the flames or whatever, but this was just a subdivided box modeling technique. I can give you the model if you want it.
Very nice looking geometry there. But how did you keep the points sharp without edge loops? I tried this but there's no vertex creasing so my pointy things were soft looking after subdivsion unless I add more edge loops. I dont' see support loops in your model. Unless that's the base geometry and not the subdivided one.

No one should ever develop software that requires Flash anymore. Every company is dropping support for Flash now because it's a portal for malware on most systems, including Apple. It's mostly the Flash Player and online browser support that is the issue, but I seriously wouldn't trust anything that depends on Flash to run anymore. There's so many better options out there for dynamic software programming.
Either use it on an old machine that will support Flash, or upgrade Poser. That's really the only alternatives you have now. Running flash on modern OS that is connected to the internet is asking for trouble.

I hear what your are saying but it doesn´t make much sense that an application that is designed to be easy for newcomers isn´t better at getting new people to use it. Apples products just to make a comparison was designed to be easy to use without the user having to become a computer a computer engineer to master the most simple tasks. But that seems to be the situation quite frankly...
Are you using Apple computer? If you are then its strange for sure. If you're using Windows then it makes more sense. Flash has been found to contain many, many security issues for Windows users over the years. Most software developers will not use Flash in their products now because of this fact. Adobe has discontinued developing Adobe Flash products because of this, for example, and have urged users to disable it on their computers. This wasn't just Windows computers, it was Windows, Linux, and any other platform using Adobe products.
Earlier this year, Apple said goodbye to Flash in their Safari browser too. So as of 2020, Flash is a dead technology as far as most software developers are concerned.
The solution for you, if you really must use that old version of Poser might be to find an older computer to run it on, or install a dual boot that contains Windows 7 or earlier OS that will allow Flash apps to run. Just keep that computer offline when you do, because Flash is a gateway for malware now.

Wow, the details are awesome. Looks like the normal map is adding most of the hard edges? I really like that you didn't go overboard with the dirt and stuff. It's just the right amount of wear and tear. I love those decals!

The ebots seem to not be working for me because i didn't know you responded here. Thanks for that info, luxxeon. It definitely clears up a lot of confusion I had about the differences between those cards. So if all I'm doing is using the card for rendering in Blender, I'm better off going with a GTX than a Quadro, and save some money in the process. Thanks!
Thread: Some modeling | Forum: 3D Modeling
I hear all professional users always talking about Quadro cards. Even when I look at Boxxx workstations, they come with Quadro. But why is it that when it comes to gpu rendering, I always hear everyone saying to go with a high end gtx card instead? Even in this thread I noticed that oldguy has a quadro in his machine, but luxxeon said he's using a gtx. So what's the difference, and why are quadro's almost double the cost of most gtx cards? I'm asking because I want to get a new system for gpu rendering, and want to choose the right nvidia card to get the fastest results. If anyone has any insight or can share their own story about why they use the nvidia card they use, that would be great!

Miss B, it's not really easy but I was able to follow his twisted star ball one for 3dmax in Blender a while back. I had to look up a few things to find certain features, but it was worth it because I learned a lot. I was waiting to see if he was going to release a Blender version of the gyroid tutorial, but nothing yet. Luxxeon please make more Blender videos for us!
Thread: Some modeling | Forum: 3D Modeling
That's a great render, Luxxeon! I can't get over how crisp and clean the wireframe renders are too. The modelling goes without saying. Your tuts are wonderful, and I was able to follow one of the 3dsmax ones in Blender myself a while back, but I admit there were quite a few differences in the software. I wish you had a Blender version for every video tutorial, but I understand how difficult that must be to create.
