Your doin a video composite? Is the character going to be animated or still? By using other elements of the scene you can determine size and lighting. Some video editing software utilizes 3d native so no rendering in Poser at all. I need more info though to be of help.

Quote - Getting a refund from Daz is not a hassle at all, but don't feel bad. The product you linked to here says it is no longer available for purchase anyway :-)

I didn't see that.... LOL so I guess I couldn't have spent my money here after all :-( Thanks Sarah.

Quote - If you bought it within 30 days, you can ask Daz for a refund. They have a 30 day money back policy.
I just bought it today. Too much hassle to get a refund, but Renderosity needs to get their act together. I found the one from here using the Whatever3d site just a bit ago when you gave it to me. Now why can they find it but the search here doesn't? Times are tough and I could have suported our communty here.

Quote - You're welcome :)
Here is another great search place, it searches for not only free items, but even commercial ones too.
http://www.whatever3d.com
Neither of the links I gave you search 3D Commune, so you will have to search their store and/or free area on your own. Also, the Mystic Nights search doesn't find freebies from Renderosity, so you have to search the free stuff here on your own too.
Sometime Whatever3D will locate freebies from here, but it doesn't seem to pick them all up.
Another great resource Acadia. But I have to say I'm now frustrated because I bought Bathroom One from Daz and I could have bought this: http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=24891 from Renderosity. It didn't come up in a search here for either toothpaste or toothbrush and both are included. I have several accounts at other sites but I only post here and would prefer to do business here and suport my friends. The search engine here must not suport in string searches and thats a shame. This isn't the first time I bought something somewhere else to discover something comparable here. Grrrrrrrr

Quote - Add another template - Template Lips
Assign the Rule lip to Copy Template Lips.
Put whatever shader you want in the lips - probably a copy of the skin shader plus gloss (not phong).
However, in a closeup you're going to see the edges are sharp. The proper way to do lip gloss for high realism is to use a lip mask. I made one for V4, and that is how I apply lipstick. It actually extends into the face zone a little bit. I'll be selling that version I hope.
Yup a good lip mask is needed Bill.

Quote - You are right I had used this screen before how could I forgot about it?! :blushing: 1024 on texture display seem to be too much so I left it at the default 512. Accumulation buffer was at software and I switched to hardware.
Texture Display at 128 does make it faster but the transparencies in clothing & texture details look like crap.
Thanks Don, I had totally forgotten about that screen!
Don't forget to check actual for transperency :) and your welcome.

Is that a Poser thing? Maybe I need to check the manual.
Yup it's a Poser thing. Goto the Render Menu / Render Settings / Preview Tab. Read above for the settings :)

Quote - Default but what does it has to do with the speed of redraw in the viewports? As far as I have always seen rendering speed doesn't have to do with viewport redraw.
The render settings also control the viewport./ Goto render settings preview tab. Lowering the texture size will speed up your viewport :)

Quote - Oh, I'm not complaining about renders, the increase of speed was excellent since switching to Poser Pro. What I was hoping was to gain in viewport response since I do animations. I have 525 MB of VRAM, the Quadro FX 1700 has DDR2 though.
I understand you mean the viewport. What is your texture set at in render settings?

Quote - I upgraded to the performance driver and added the Poser Pro exe to the Manage list in the Nvidia Control Panel. Still stable but no visible speed increase. :(
How much VRam do you have and what texture size are you using in your render settings?

Quote - > Quote - I've never gotten that one. How is your Poser running after the changes we made?
Don
It's running fine, finally. I never had graphics drivers appcrash errors with Poser prior to version 7, and also not before getting the 8800, in 64 bit Vista. As I've mentioned, it doesn't hapen in XP x64 with the same driver revision (for XP of course), with the same card.
So I'm not willing to blame it entirely on Poser, but due to the fact that the above fix worked, and I don't get this with any other OGL or DX apps or games, I have to wonder.
I'm wondering if it's just that they haven't updated Poser's OGL much since the ultra powerful cards and drivers began coming out, or 64 bit, or Vista. I couldn't say for sure, but I think it's a result of all three variables.
Mine is running like a clock also. Looks like we fixed it until the next time... LOL
