is there an easy way to transfer the color/texture onto other objects or do we have to go through the whole process in the advanced mat tab?
is it possible to get a brushed aluminium look in the same fashion?

Thanks a lot my friend§
Your answer was so fast and the method used way over my ability: i would never ben able to achieve such result by myself.
And hopefully, at the same time it teaches me something.Â

Thanks a lot!
I don't know much about shaders and the advanced mat wndow, so I'll try my bet with the indications you've diven me and see how it goes from there/Â

Thanks Ma'am!
I was trying to use the icon at the top right of the message area.
Thanks also for your kind words, but let's face it: after 30 hours, I still can't understand what others solve in minutes...
The failure is obvious.

Quote - Look at the bottom of this page. There is a Browse button. You can add an image from you computer files with it.Â

I'm sorry I don't have anything in my computer at the minute that will open a sketchup file. Had some pc trouble awhile back & uninstalled a lot of stuff that was no longer working right.Â
Thanks. But the img button asks for an URL, it doesn't allow me to browse my computer looking for a picture.
Sorry to hear about your PC trouble, but really, it's small thing.
My problem is much worse: i'm so thick that I can't even understand the simplest things you people take the time to explain me :-(

Dear Alana,
I hope I’m not abusing of your time and patience. If I do, please just ignore this message.
I have tried to use your method with POSERAY:
I’d be very grateful if you could explain me what I’m doing wrong, or even better, give me a step by step on what to do to achieve the same results you get.
Best regards.
PS how can one insert pictures from a computer without using a server?

I fell asleep a couple of hours before you.
But I live at GMT 0, meaning it was 8am when I passed over.
Nevertheless, that was great, I really enjoyed our first night together...

I understand you're a perfectionnist, but the results you get are way good enough for what I intend to do.
I now need to learn to do what you're doing.
Are you, as you said previously, using Deep Explorer 6.5?Â
And do you reckon the demo version is enough to get the results?

Quote - [uote] yup, it looks like a broken geometry rather than a texture issue.
I believe you can use blender tio load DAE files and export 3ds.
Poser does not like n-gons with concave bits or long thin polygons. The smoothing in Poser causes some defects.Â
Can you post a link to that effects pedal ? It might not be hard to fix in a modeller.
Â
Here is the link.
I'm grateful for your help, but please bear with me, I'm not as knowledgable as you are, most of the time I don't have a clue of what you're talking about :-(
Forgot the link...

Some files are dowloadable as DAE, for the KMZ or SKP, I convert them to 3DS or OBJ using SKETCHUP 8.
Is the demo version of Deep Exploration enough for what I need to do?
So, the keyboard is indeed rendered: you definitely ARE my hero!
May I ask you; is your avatar a picture of yourself? :-)

I'm not sure I fully understand what you're explaining to me.
Do you mean I should convert DAE to OBJ using Deep Exploration 6.5?
Is the bottom keyboard rendered?
If so, the result is beyond my wildest dream and you're my hero.
