I have the same set-up and haven't run into this bug. At the same time, my renders are usually smaller than 1024.
Thread: Help! Please? | Forum: Poser Technical
A 3d model is basically made up of points in space, the lines that connect those points, and faces that give the model surface. 'Vertices' are the 'points' of the model. Morph targets in Poser only work on the models they were made for. They require that the model they are applied to has the same number of vertices recorded in the same order in order to function properly. If you have a brand new figure, you need to make brand new morph targets for it. These can be done using the magnets in Poser or externally in a 3d modelling program. Hope this helps.
Thread: What does all this terminology mean?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
vertcies: a 3D model is basically made up of points, the wireframe lines that connect them to each other, and then faces that give the object a suface. Vertices are the points. magnet: a tool in Poser and in many 3D modelling programs that allow you to select a certain area of your mesh and then push and pull that area of the model around. Points (or vertices) near the center of that area will move more than the points at the edges of the area. geometry: a general term for the specific shape of a 3d model. Spline: a regular line goes from point A to B and then from B to C. A spline moves in a curve from point A, arcing through point B to point C. NURBS: Non-Uniform Rational(?) B-Splines (or something like that). This is a function of many 3d modelling programs that allows you to create a smooth, high-resolution mesh out of a low-resolution mesh, using the same kind of math that splines are based on. It's a great tool for creating organic models as well as curvy non-organics (such as a sportscar). Hope this helps.

Make sure that before you export the .obj out of Poser that your figure is completely zero'd out, and doublecheck the hip and body to make sure that x, y and zTrans are all at 0.000. Hope this helps.

Thread: Pro Pack + PZ3 Scene file problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Is it possible that the pz3's that don't work are referencing .obj's, texture images, or background images that were in your Poser 4 runtime directories, but aren't in your Pro Pack runtime directories? Also, any pz3's you load into Lightwave should be saved out of Pro Pack, and not Poser standard. Hope this helps.

That should work fine, although you'll probably need to tweek the JP's a bit afterwards. Otherwise there's the method I described in the thread linked above. Hope this helps.Thread: How to deal with clothing poke-throughs? | Forum: Poser Technical

Oh, the Clothing Morph Pack by the3dwizard are in the MarketPlace here. Here's the link to #3.Thread: How to deal with clothing poke-throughs? | Forum: Poser Technical
Most clothing is designed to work only with the figure's default body shape. Morphs are specific to the geometry of the figure it was made for, so they cannot be transfered over to other figures. the3dwizard has Clothing Morph Packs that have extra morphs and magnets for Daz's Vicki Clothing Pack. His Clothing Pack 3 is designed to work with many of the Vicki2 morphs. joezable is working on and upgrade to the Vicki Clothing Pack to be brokered through DAZ that will evidently contain all of the Vicki2 morphs. Additionally, if the poke through's aren't too major you can try to correct them using a magnet or by creating your own morph targets. Or you can try turing the body part that is poking through to invisible if it's not meant to be exposed somewhere else. Hope this helps.

I personally love the Pro Pack. And the reason I love it is related to the same reason you hate it I believe. In the non-proppack version, Poser uses the .rsr files that are stored with the .obj in order to load geometry faster. The catch is that anytime you replace the .obj, you have to quite Poser and delete the .rsr so that Poser can build a new .rsr based on the new .obj. With pro-pack, it just reads geometry straight from the .obj file. For me, this makes things so much easier when developing new characters... it's not a big fancy feature, but it's my personal favorite. The problems you described seem a little extreme. Make sure you install Pro-Pack on top of an un-patched version of Poser 4 and then get the latest patch (SR2) from curiouslabs.com and run that. Also, did you select the option for compressed cr2's? Hope this helps.

Also, many items in freestuff require that you already have an existing item that isn't included with the Poser program. Check the readme or any documentation that came with the zip to make sure you have any required products. Hope this helps.

You may wish to contact the vendor directly on this. The creator of the item will most likely have the best tips for working with it. At any rate they should atleast be aware of any feedback you have on their product. From my point of view the product description in the MarketPlace accurately describes what the product is. However, if you feel it is misleading, you may wish to e-mail store@renderosity.com with your concerns.

Thread: disturbing news from Daz 3D (read this) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Squishing removes the faces, texture coordinates, normals, and any other extra data from an object file, leaving you with only the 'points' or 'vertices' of the geometry. Supposedly this method prevents people from reverse engineering the .obj file back into useable geometry (unless you have the base .obj... blmilwoman.obj in this case). As a side note, my own personal feeling is that there are currently tools out there capable of this reverse engineering...but I haven't tested this theory and DAZ has not changed their policy on it at this time.
