Its a shame to see such wonderful artists leaving here. Thanks for sharing your lovely images Keith, I have enjoyed each and every one.
Thread: Goodbye to all my friends here in the fractal gallery.. | Forum: Fractals
While i respect your reasons and beliefs, I definitely agree with everything Hewsan says... I too wish you would reconsider, and that by continuing to post you are offering an alternative, gracing us and visitors with the beauty of your art, which is a definitely preferable over the banners. I have always enjoyed looking at your images, your skill with capturing an essence of celestial mood has always appealed to me, and you have also always given wonderfully encouraging commentary... I wish you would continue to share all this with us.

That was the upr for Phoenix Moon Rosemary? I liked the adaption of that, and this is a really good idea, i would be interested in doing something like that too. Im afraid i cant help with the compatibility issue either though :/
Thread: Anyone know how to get flame fractals at a larger size?? | Forum: Fractals
For me anyway, trying to resize a flame image is extremely CPU intensive. ( i make mine on a P3 733.. its old but trusted lol )
This is taken from the Ultra Fractal FAQ page-
" Flame fractals and Out Of Memory errors-
Ultra Fractal 3 can calculate flame fractals with the Flame Fractals coloring algorithm in enr.ucl and Apophysis. This opens up new artistic possibilities, but it can also create problems. Flame fractals take a lot of memory to calculate, and they cannot be rendered to disk or used with network calculations. These problems may be addressed in a future version of Ultra Fractal. For now, have fun, but use them at your own risk."
Sorry i cant be much more help, but someone else with a bit more technical experience might be able to :)

Thread: Fractal Community... | Forum: Fractals
I noticed the 'featured' image too, for a sec i thought i had clicked on the wrong community. Though it does say in the News forum that the communities are new, and still under development. Maybe thats why we have plastic gel instead of a fractal ?
Thread: Just curious... | Forum: Fractals
I sometimes have a design in mind, that never turns out in UF as ive had it imagined in my head :/ Somewhere between my head and my mousehand the image i had gets lost, or just playing with a few layer settings & changing a parameter gives an image a completely different appearance than what i had intended, but i might like it, so i keep it. A lot of my fractals( ok well most of them ) are by letting the fractal lead, and they always turn out as spirals lol. Ive tried to steer away from them at times, but to no avail. I think my UF is stuck in spiral mode ;)
Thread: More monitor calibration... | Forum: Fractals
I saw the threads touching the bushy flames in * Along came a Spider * I keep my monitor brightness fairly light, though i do have a lot of problems with monitor blurring ( its old ) so in some cases i dont see a lot of crisp or fine detail.
