Theres a freeware app called Menmax it allows you to "redistibute" your memory it works great. The URl is http://t-rod.rsn.bth.se/tiberius/index.php3?page=memmax. Also you might think about saving your models, once posed as obj files which require less memory.
Thread: Galley Credits, I want your opinion on good manners. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree with Crytopooka. Its like we are almost ashamed and have to continually say oh but this came from here this came from there. When in reality all these great models, textures, etc are completely useless unless someone creates something with them. I've never seen anyone oh and ahh about a texmap in the gallery, or a unadorned mesh.

I think either way is right. I usually don't because frankly I can't remember whose is what all the time. Also I think in the gallerys the default is that you are using someones elses work. Also there are so few comments versus the amount of viewings that if someone wanted to know where something came from all they'd have to do is ask.
Thread: Which cheap modeler will fit Poser 4 at best. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think it's also important to see what tutorials are available for the program, both from the manufacturer and external. Reading the manual is great but sometimes it's hard to understand what a certain tool or plugin can actually do for you. Also look at the price of plugins for the program. My opinion is pound for pound your best bet is Truespace. The program is inexpensive and the plugins are cheap. Also you can get PhilCs' excellent modelling tutorial CD that will give you a jumpstart on understanding the concepts. I hope I've been helpful.

Crescent, thanks for the input. You're right. The cart would look better shifted and make the mans hands become more apparent. Geep, The mountain in the background is bryce. The rest are props. This was all done in poser. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to look at it.

Thread: bipeds for sale? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm assuming you are talking about max character studio bipeds?. Thats a great idea. Would it be bipeds for Michael and Vicky. I think you would be better off doing those then posette and dork. I think alot of people would be interested, as fitting the biped in character studio is not easy. I would eagerly offer my support to assist in testing. Let me know.
Thread: Playing with the Selene Hair... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I like the hair. Its got a goth, take no prisoners, ball busting look to it. I would definitely get it. It would be cool if it came with the blondish texture and a darker texture. I also appreciate you being so quick to respond to my question on your maiden hair. Thanks

JKeller sorry I was looking at a response from JeffH. It stuck in my mind. The first sign of remapping dementia. Thanks for the help.
Thread: Blank areason texmap | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
JeffH and PhilC, thanks for responding. Let me explain my confusion. As I understand it there are two ways to go about remapping an obj. The first is to export an object to mapper. The problem with that method is that you can't configure the map using groups as it is one enity. The second way is to export an obj from poser, ie malenude. In this instance you can regroup the texmap but in poser it will have genitals. That is the crux of my problem. What has to be done to reconfigure a texmap on the p4malenude without that pesky genitalia. You have to wonder why his little pee-pee sticking out is the default. It should be the other way around. Gentlemen, I thank you for your indulgence and hope you can shed some light on how to accomplish this. Thanks

I wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to look at the post and for being so generous with your comments. I appreciate it. I thought that I would get killed with the concept and didn't plan to do anymore. All of your kind words invigorated me. Which is why I'm so late in my thanking you. I completed part 2 of 4 and posted it today. Bill Carboni
