I guess it's just as well that I'm stuck at work a few more hours.  Hopefully things will be running a little more smoothly by the time I get home.

1)  Yes, if the cost is reasonable for a hobbiest.

2)  V4 to Dawn would be my current desire, as well as M4 to her eventual partner.

3)  Considering how much it will open up use of Dawn right out of the gate.... YES! hehe

I would definitely make use of tutorials showing how to convert D|S-only Dawn products for use in Poser.  As an end user, I'm willing to go that step if the item is something I want badly enough and doesn't have Poser support.  Writing it for ease of use by an inexperienced D|S user like myself would be wonderful.

To me, this is extremely important, and really I hope it can happen.

Vue definitely does add an entire layer of work to the workflow.  Everything imported in from Poser needs to have the materials adjusted, which can be quick or very time consuming depending on the image.  V4 and M4 do import in easily and quickly, though.

If you're looking for the challenge of adding something new to your skill set, it's a great program.  Depending on which version, it can get very deep.  You'll also need/want to start collecting goodies for Vue, the same as Poser.

But if you want something much quicker and more budget friendly, I'd say go for Terradome.  Another option is using HDR images in Reality, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get that background to look like anything other than DoF on steroids.

I got into Poser because of my MMO gaming habits.  I wanted a way to bring my RP characters to life, and I can't draw worth beans.  My DA gallery is full of images from my various games over the years: SWG, Fallen Earth, The Secret World, and more.

Latest image is my ark hunter from Defiance.

I'm still on PP2012/Vue 10 workflow, and it works well with V4WM.  And Reality 3 for Poser.

Every time I come back to this thread, it just gets better and more exciting.

I'd like to re-bump the question of Vue importing.  Will Dawn import nicely into Vue, like V4 does?

If she works in Vue and Reality, she'll be a very serious contender for me.

Very interested in seeing how Dawn turns out!

I hope she can be a sophisticated woman of her mid-30's (or older) as easily as a young thing like the new picture.

At one point I was desperate for a simple leather biker's cut (think Sons of Anarchy) for M4.  Also need more modern/sci-fi knives, daggers, and weapons belts for those.

He could also use well-fitted pants and jeans that an average man would wear and aren't crafted for a eunich.

I tend to do post-apocalyptic and sci-fi'ish renders with M4, so anything that could fit and cross from that and every day would make me a happy camper.

As an MMO addict, I'm connected with a lot of other gamers who use Poser/Daz to bring their roleplay characters to life.  It's amazing how many times you will see M4 in either the Hardcore or Cyberpunk outfits, no matter the genre of the game and image.  The poor guy really, really needs some love.

I'd thought at one point to try and start modeling for him, but I can't wrap my head around the program.  Maybe if I could take a hiatus from my non-3D full-time job for a while... but hubby won't go for it.
