"Does IBL work by setting up a sphere of lights in accordance to the pixel layout on the 2D light probe (image)? If so, it's fairly clever, saving the user from arranging all those lights. But it also means the user cannot control the number of lights, nor each light individually." Close. In Poser, it creates "virtual" lights at rendertime that work in much the same way, reducing the overhead. however, the purpose of it is to allow the duplication of a "real world" lighting set up for compositing. In short, it was created to allow Filmmakers to more seamless blend digital creation and real world by providing a method for duplicating the subtle lighting levels of the real world setting in the digital space. Side benefit is much more apparently realistic lighting without the need for massive, system killing lightsets. Rather cool, isn't it?

A simple parasol with flower detailing and several material zones, complemented by a wonderful texture package for it (sold separately). (Image by Calalene)Thread: Procedural starfield... want to add glow/lens-flare effect | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Limitation to this approach is going to manifest itself in any sort of transparent/translucent materials where the background will show up as artifacts on those objects. However, it is an excellent shader! (We just learned this the last two days developing commercials.)

Odd Ditty Foundry has a couple free V3 items and a couple very low cost (1.49) items for v3, with more coming throughout april. SAE is "Second Anniversary Edition". The !Daz files hold the actual morph deltas for the Victoria 3 injection system. In Poser 5, you'll want to locate those inside your Runtime/libraries folder for your main runtime for the greatest speed. For good free textures, look for Ecstasy's homepage here at Renderosity -- very good, very creative textures. DittygirlThread: Request on P6 content | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
not quite sure -- I'll ask over at RDNA for clarification, but I do know that it is LaRoo 2, and theat there is a special upgrade package to the full deal. I don't think the poser version has the special bodystyle morphs and stuff like that, though. and of course, there are all the additional morphs for Jesse and James now available over at RDNA -- tons of body morphs.
