I'm loving Vue 9. Runs very stable on my system (i7 64 bit, 6GB memory). Only had one warning that resources were getting low, and that was after making a lot of tweeks and test renders. Very heavy scene with a lot of imports and I just love the HD trees!
The Vue 9 PLE is available, so give it a try!

I'm using Vue 9 Infinite. I use 6 GB DDR3 / 1600 MHZ MEMORY . I didn't go out of the way to buy expensive memory. My MB has three more slots empty, so one of these days I will drop in the other 6GB like I planned. I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a single 1TB drive. Even with my Poser runtime and all of my Vue content I still have plenty of room on the drive. But if need be, I can always add a second drive.

I have the CoolMaster Sniper case. It is huge! I also added the max number of fans and a water cooling system to my i7 processor. The system runs really cool.
My only recomendation is to keep far away from ATI video cards. I have a i7, 6GB memory, GTX-275 with 1GB memory - Vue runs great.

Thread: Vue Frontier or Esprit? | Forum: Vue
Go with Esprit. You have the full 3dimport module with Esprit and you can always add SkinVue later.

Do make sure to sign up for the e-on newsletter and the Cornucopia3D newsletter. That way you don't miss any of the sales. They do have lots of sales and "48 hour" deals.

Thread: Getting VUE for the first time: Help!! | Forum: Vue
Welcome to Vue! I would say Frontier is good to start with, but without the 3D Import and RenderUp (both included with Esprit) modules is fairly limited. The SciFi and Fantasy versions are even more limited. You can get Frontier and then get just the content packs for SciFi and Fantasy and have a better program.
The nice part about Vue is the modules can be bought one at a time. It's more expensive then just buying the higher versions, but sometimes it's easier to go $100 or less at a time upward...
First thing to do though is to try the free Personal Learning Edition (PLE) or demo versions and make sure your computer can handle the software. Nothing worse then investing in software to find out your hardware just can't deal with it.

Yes, you can get both Mac and PC - once you download and expand the files, it becomes duel platform. If you need to download again, you can switch your platform on your e-on account.
On my Windows 7 machine - I have a desktop gadget that lets me know how much memory is in use and the CPU load.

Did you unzip the extras CD file?
Can you make any new collections or is it just the content from the extras CD that is not working?

Thread: Imported Poser morphs & conformed figures | Forum: Vue
Could be problems with external runtimes? Try to use the Poser script CollectSceneInventory. That saves everything to a folder - included textures, obj files, etc.

Also check your Poser General Preference (misc tab) is not using External Binary Morph Targets - that will cause the import to loose all pose and morphs.

Thread: Infos about Vue9 Esprit needed! | Forum: Vue
You need the Exporter module in order to export the HDRI sky. That's not part of Esprit. It is included with Complete or get the Exporter module from Cornucopia3D.

Keep an eye on the Cornucopia store and make sure you get their newsletter. A lot of times they will have sales on the modules where you buy one and another module is included free or for %50 off.
