Thread: A bit more care | Forum: Photography
I'm sure I've been there and seen it!! September 2001, on holiday in Devon... the doorway arch rings a bell... Lovely area for photos, I wish I'd been more into photography then. I remember a particularly nice ruined castle in the Poole area too. Great shot, Pat. Not sure if I'm on the right track, but maybe playing about with the levels inside the archway may take some of the glare off the house would give it a bit less harshness.... though I dunno if it needs it, looking again! Bravo!! This is well cool! (pun not intended) The lighting, the cropping - I can't find anything to say but "brilliant!" This is a pic I wish I'd taken.... he he - oh, sorry, I just thought, this pic would make a great advert for a new high-speed digital pregnancy tester - slogan on top, "We know what waiting for your result can be like......" Sorry. Got sidetracked. sigh old age creeping up. (",)

Thread: Food Stylist's Ice Cream Trick? | Forum: Photography
MrGorf, the people I asked (a few years back) were from the Yellow Pages, and were suppliers of disco equipment etc. for nightclubs. They gave me the name of their supplier no problem, turned out to a chemicals company be about 10 miles away from me!!! You were able to buy it in a block which you then just chipped bits off and put them in water to create the fog. Good Luck! (",)

I tried catching one once. Big red one. Followed the music for miles, waving my arms at him without him stopping. Fast as anything he was too. He eventually pulled into a street where a house was on fire. I Ran up to one of the guys in the silly hats, and he told me to go home and stop being silly, then pulled a hose from the side and put the fire out. (",)

Thread: Final Goodbye Number 2 | Forum: Photography
Please, don't turn this into any sort of competition or tirade against the administration, OK? I don't want my final thhread to be a negative one. Solrac, the mods here have a difficult job. Some of the combinations of people when put together are hard to handle. I've criticised people in the past, but being up there can't be easy. sigh the other thread said it all so much better...... Look everyone, I've got my reasons for going, I really don't want to stir the waters up any more than they have been previously, I honestly got sick of that last week. Let's leave it at that, ok? Take care, and keep this a happy place. (",)

Thread: Have you ever seen a happier dog??? | Forum: Photography
rofl - excellent capture!!
You have good reason to be scared - I've been jumped by a few dogs that make me shiver now myself ;-) Oh, and a few scares with canine's too!!! lol
(",) EDIT : Actually, looking at it again, the dog looks more 'real' than the background with the capture - if it looked a bit meaner it would be very reminiscent of the Stephen King story 'The Sun Dog'....

Thread: April Challenge : Bit Dark In Here, Innit? | Forum: Photography
It is NOT yukky!!! There's nothing substantial enough in there to make it yukky.... and the re-hydrated peas and carrots are nice.... although the meat is that whatchamacallit non-meat stuff.....but it tastes like meat.... lol (",)

Power point. Yeah. Wall Socket ;-) Power Point sounded more American to me, thought you would understand it better ;-) lol - after "shade of brown" insert "that you have added to the white textured wall." ;-) I didn't know your walls weren't mushroom / beige / taupe / tan / faun / other female word for light brown..... snigger (",)
