Well I have to say that I did have fun entering this contest! It was quite a challenge for me to be able to create enough in Bryce to come up with a decent entry.
As for there only being 8 entrants - hey that's better than nothin'
Personally I believe that there will always be an interest in Bryce and the contests
And lastly - I have to say that I love the topic of the next challenge - sounds like something I can handle! - can't wait to get started!

[kanzler](../../homepage.php?Who=kanzler) #9 3 pts - it looks like the "hustle and bustle" of a busy, major cityvangogh #5 2pts - the objects used for this definitely look like Bryce-made items plus it looks like there's some water in the render - one of my main reasons for using Bryce - LOL!
Thandaluz #2 1pt - the big "round" thing in the middle reminds me of a transportation center in a major city!
Glad I made it to the voting in time!

Thread: My first freebie! | Forum: Freestuff
I remember when I uploaded my first freebie - not so long ago - LOL! And like you I have downloaded so many in my time. It just felt sooo good to upload a freebie as opposed to downloading them all the time.
Like you I am "hooked" on uploading more - even though still in the "newbie" stage it will take me a little while to even model something - LOL!
But congratulations to you!

You know what? Since I'm still learning Vue myself were you able to make those columns in Vue? I'm only asking because specific modeling while it can be done in Vue - I'm wondering if you used another modeling program to make the columns and then just imported them into Vue?

Well everything is well again! My entry has been submitted and I must admit that I'm kind of surprised because the entrant's name is given with their entry? Guess I have been away from this particular kind of contest for too long because I thought the entries were n't supposed to have the entrant's names included?I noticed some of the other contests do not include the entrants name.

Perhaps I'm just being a tad over-anxious but I managed to model some things in Bryce for the contest and I'm very proud that I got THAT far - so I'm anxious and ready to submit my entry
Thread: New challenge Theme for november 2008 | Forum: Bryce
Ok, I'm having a little problem. I submitted my entry but I made the file size too big - so I tried to re-submit it and it said that I had already entered - so I guess I should just wait a few days to see what email I get sent about my submission?

Actually I'm kinda looking forward to it because it gives me a chance to model something - a building - in Bryce - whereas I used to just import stuff in
I think it will be a challenge - at least for me! - to be able to make something as simple as a building in Bryce! As a matter of fact I have started my entry now and just starting to create the one building is driving me crazy - but I'm having some fun at it - LOL!

Quote - Rose, I use PaintShop Pro XII.
Thanks for letting me know. I do have an earlier version of PSP but I also have the Gimp program so that should help with me being able to make textures.

Sorry to say that I myself am a smoker.............. But I really do love some of your models! - I especially like the older-looking models as I seem to be quite obsessed with making older-looking renders..................Thread: Yay! It's here! | Forum: Vue

Well I'm kind of new to Vue! I got the personal limited edition. I see that there were some great object files in the library but since this is the free downloaded version that I got, I have found that I'm not able to use these. It also seems that I can't import any .vob files and can only use those .vob's that are already provided with the program.
But it does give me the option of being able to import .obj files so that's good!
I don't even mind the "watermark" sometimes.

Now you know those models look GREAT! I downloaded the low-res models and will give them a try!

Just wanted to let you know that I'm glad you submitted this!
I'm currently learning how to make models of houses and certain ancient buildings and this texture will come in handy.
Just curious as to how you made them and what program you used?
