Only Poser uses Tools! ! !

Personally, I wish it was like it use to be in that Poser upgraded Poser Program structure, and DAZ made the models. DAZ Studio 3 is a great Program. But it's like doing Brain surgery with Boxing Gloves on.

They have so many tools, which is great in one since. but it is a nightmare to pull tools onto the screen. The pop into areas without wanting them to go there.  Poser, estecially Poser Pro 2010 I can work with no effort fast, knowing that the tools don't dictate to me, I dictate to the Tools.

And as far as the People that come with Poser. I like the Poser 4 figures better to work with than the figures from Poser 6 on. I can't get their clothes to work correctly on those charactures, where as. DAZ's charactures I have no problem with 85% of all the clothes made by the many talented people I by from.

The best features that DAZ has in there DAZ Studio, is AniMate. but even that has bugs, everything I use in DAZ seams to be more time getting use to animating with Animate and Importing it into Poser so I can clean it up with confidect. There is nothing like making an Animation in Animate, then half way through. the animation disapears, just because you ad another characture an put a characture in the scene.  This doesn't happen every time. but when you spend 20 minutes trying to tweek things. Then lose it is a big waist of time. When there is a mistake, I like it to be mine. That away I can learn what it is and correct it or learn what it takes to correct it.

I know that DAZ and Poser are Taking about trying to keep the charactures to be compatable from a reliable source. But that doen't mean much, if the final results don't end up that way.

Yep, all I want is great animating tools, People an dynamic clothing be faster, and easer to work with. same with the Hair. People with great rigging where arms, and legs bend. the body parts look more natural. Also, like the Caractures shown on the first thread to DAZ on V5. that has the capabilities of those and other charactures shown in their pop up. And of course, For only $500. dollars.  Woops! I must have dosed off while my finger kept typing in my last Paragraph.  Time to go to bed.

I used the material Room to get my textures. And if you look the M4 neck goes up into the hair. The color is showing, but the color ends and is white just before the hairline and above.

The only thing that is different, is I morphed this Characture. The Texture Wasn't make for this Characture. But that never has been a problem in the Past.

Well the angle of the one first shown of (not Meg Ryan)  in Black & White. That angle and that look, still to me looks more like Meg Ryan than even your color one of her.

But at the same time, the hair, and that angle of your actual Meg Ryan comes more into play, than the true likeness.  

Is this a hobby of yours, making charactures. Or do you do it for some projects you work on. I don't need to know what, Who, or Why if you do, I"m just curious. You do a great job.  

The Reason I am interested in purchasing some Charatures is because, They lend themselves to certain movies I do. I don't have the time to make everything I would like. that is why I buy 98% of what I need from the Stores. Very good likeness.

I Tried Every map there was. It is something about the Torso mapt that is not working when applying it to the figure. It worked fine with another map. The M4 Map was not make for this specific Charactuer, but neither was the one that worked. The Oddest thing aboutit was, it worked halfway up the neck, then turned white. I've never seen that before.

That is what confused me, for some reason, when I put the torso onto the characture, it showed up halfway up the neck and white the other half. I tried all the mats. What is funny is, I tied another texture on the same characture. I just switched the Textures this was the only thing I did, and it came out correctly.

This works fine. I actually never scene the Texture disapear half way up the neck before.

My Largest Library file is 38+ gigs, but I also have 5 other Librarys. 2 others are small, but 1 on My other internal HD is 27 Gigs, and the other remaining is 10 Gigs.

That's what happens when you get older. Your mind can't remember names as well as you use to. That is a very good likeness.

I'd be interested in purchasing her if that is possible. She is dead on.

I've done that a number of times and it never takes. but I have a system down now that I did about 8 charactures in one fourth the time it would have taken me before. I'm all done with that part of the movie. Every thing now is finishing the script, and make the movie.

I've done those tabs, but if there is something that I"m missing. I'll try again. I was under the impression they were suppose to save every thing you have. I deleted my characture before I saved it in my favorite Perferences. But the only thing that comes up is the way the window was when I closed. So my guess that is a glitch with Poser. at least with the way it is reading when I close. Thanks.

Just a Note:

Ah! One thing I haven't ever used before, but really comes in to play with my situation!  When loading something into a scene. you have 1 check mark, and 2 check marks. One is to load and replace, the other is to just load.

It was infront of my eyes all this time, but I never loaded something that I didn't want. Well. I just clicked the single check mark, and it deleted the lights I didn't want, and replaced it with the one I did want.

I'll have to try and use that with charactures when loading clothes into my scene when I change charatures and see how that works. 

Well, That's what I ended up doing. That's not the way I wanted to go, Mostly is I have so many things going, I'm afraid I won't find it. I work on a few movies at a time, for me if it's not a perticular scene. I will forget where I put it. That never happens with My Movie files, but this is not a movie file.

I have all 9 UI dots loaded. for different setups for working. But that don't give you Lighting, and render quality.

I have every thing set up the way I want it, my problem is, I am wanting to push a phthon script that loads it all in one click. The biggest reason, Is when I choose all my charactures cloths, I want to make sure they fit all the way around with a quality render at that time. Because I load sometimes up to 10 people that will be in a movie at sometime. I would be happy with the lighting mostly, because with the standard lighting that the scene opens up with is not what I want. So I have to delete the lights, and add the lights I want. the quality of the render. Just those two would be great. But now!

1, Have to delete the characture. Then their hair in some cases, and all the clothes. After doing that you have to inter the Lighting you want. and the render quality you want. The demensions I can live without at that point, as I have my UI dots to cover that.

2, The other choice is to start a new scene, load the render settings, delete the standard lights, and replace them with my personal settings, so I can see all around the person, to see if the cloths are fitting correctly., and I like to see if the coloring is to my liking with a perticular person and their cloths.

Saving those things in the Personal Prefernces just don't save Quality of the render, and Light settings. I apperciate the imput. you never know what I may be missing.

I've done that and for some reason that doen't work. It drives me crazy. I re-set it again, maybe somewhere down the line, one of my updates corrected that since the last time I've tried it about a year ago. I've tried it everywhich way for a few months.

I just set it again before I got back onto the forum. I knew that was the first thing someone would come up with.  If by chance it works. Thank goodness. Finally. if not, Here we go again.  Thanks for the input.

Well, I've just opened it up again, and it still don't work. Another bug I have is sometimes when I try to load a light into my files. I push the + key, but nothing happens. This is usually after I load a light, and noticed that I wanted it to be the first thing I see in that folder. So I delete it, after that It won't let me load another light.

I have very few problems with PoserPro 2010. At least I'm glad the little glitzes I have are easy to over come.
