Thread: what I am working on now | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
thankyou :) to let you know where I am at Stage 6: joint tweaking done I am having a bit of trouble making distortion free mapping for the shorts around the inside of the leg, which you can't see in the pic above hehehe. And the sides of the straps for the tops. Other than that it's nearly done :) Would love to finish this and have it up available within the next few days, just depends on the mapping now really. Rosey, I have not reinstalled icq since my last format as yet and I lost my address book too, please drop me an email :)
Thread: Stretchy Limbs and Conformers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Trying to stretch and conform existing clothing doesn't really work that well because of the joint setup. I made a pair of pants for Bishonen a little while back. These were modeled around the stretched figure and then made to conform inside poser. To make this work, I had to move the joint centers and basically move all the joints around until it worked. This is no easy task mind you but if you have the patience it can work.
I havent tried parenting and applying the same pose yet, but I would be interested to see the results from a set of poses.

Jim a thicker fold morph would be excellent, that would really set it off. I used to have a dress like this when I was about 18 I think, but mine was cobalt blue thick knit with contrast knit pattern panel down the front. But it is the same dress, boy I tell ya that brings back memories! (Like when I could fit into it!) LOL Great stuff Jim :) .

Black background with light grey text. Not pure white text because that can be hard to read too. If find the black/light grey a perfect combination. I find if the contrast is too high it is difficult to read, like dialyn said, it jumps around too much. Maybe have just afew option in colour scheme, and not change colours on individual things. Like have a normal scheme, blue scheme, high contrast scheme (for those hard of sight), whatever sheme.. that way you know all the text will be readable. :)

Thread: Vicky's lips? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Steph is a great model too, I did a character portrait of her a while back when I first got her. Its funny, most people would have surgery to remove a hairlip, while here people are lining up for the latest hairlip look LOL. Thing is you have to play around with the morph dials. It is possible to have full lips without getting that punched look.

while focal length can distort your pictures, I don't think they are behind the lip problem as in Simderella's top example. It's in the morph. I guess its like breast morphs, how many big boobed vickies are there too? LOL Big lips, big boobs, big backside and voila! If the morph dial is there, people will turn them. It makes that particular feature stand out and get noticed I suppose. Not that there is anything wrong with that. hehehehe. For my character pictured above, I acutally used quite a few of those big lip morphs in the opposite direction. Putting in a negative value can have a nice effect too. I also lowered the eyebrows slightly so she doesn't have too much of that suprised brow wing look. Going for an overall look.

sad news, that was one of the first 3d sites I found when I was just a fledgling. I can understand though, there are so many leachers on the internet, most don't give a dam. But it is worth it for those that do.

looking good! Only thing to niggle at is that the fabric of the dress looks quite heavy like a rib knit and the folds in the front are for a more lighter type fabric like satin or cotton even. Maybe a morph to ease the fold ridges out? Unless thats in the texture? Other than that, what can I say... you are the master!
