Resize the original down to less than 200 pixels on the largest size. Save that off as a seperate file. (I usually use the same file name and add "_thumb". You'll be prompted to upload each seperately when you upload to the gallery. TomD
Thread: Is this possible in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is nothing built into Poser that I am aware of, however, some operating systems have that feature built in. For example, in Windows2000 you can change the file list display options to either "Thumbnail" or "Preview" depending on which version of the file browser the program supports. Poser supports the version that uses the Thumbnail option. You can then see a thumbnail of the graphic file of your choice. Tom

It was suggested elsewhere - unfortunately I don't remember who in these forums made the suggestion - to turn Maximum Ray Depth down to 4 from 6. I've done this and not noticed any difference and brought my basic render times back in line with what I was seeing in Bryce 4. TomD

Hard to say - what were the settings in B4 and B5, and how long did it take under B4? TomD
Thread: Speeding up Bryce5's slow render in windows...here is how. | Forum: Bryce
That's interesting. Under Win2k you can observe how much CPU time a app is taking by bringing up the Task Manager (I'm sure you know this, but I'm just saying it for the record.) There is no difference in CPU usage % when Bryce has focus or when it is minimized. And from watching the number of Page Faults, the Memory Delta, the current Virtual Memory, Peak Memory, blah blah blah, my plan is to go in and tweak some memory related settings (page memory size, etc) and see what happens. That said, given how Windows works, I can completely see where terminating all other running processes would free up CPU time for Bryce. :-) TomD

:-) I hear that. Unfortunatately, the GeForce 3 card won't help your render times much, if at all. Its all CPU. :-( Personally, I'm looking long and hard at upgrading to one of the Athlon T-bird 1.4 Ghz chips, purely as a render stress reliever. :-) TomD

Brian - Coincidentally, I'm doing a render now while surfing (don't tell the boss!)and all is well. It could very easily by the demo version. As for display, yes, take it out of OpenGL mode. Your display rate is a slave to your video card and I suspect that under OpenGL you'd need a high-end card like an Oxygen or similar to get the performance that you want. I've experimented and my GeForce II MX at work isn't butch enough for it at 1280 x 960 (gee...I wonder if that could be the problem... ;-) ) TomD

I use a Graphire and an Intellimouse equivilant with zero problems. I say go for it. :-) (I love the Graphire board - hate the Graphire mouse.) TomD
