Well I was only joking about the prozac crack. I in NO WAY meant to imply the mental state of the post-ies. I was more commenting on your almost obsessive research into this topic. I will comment no more.

Thread: Carrara (good things for a change!) | Forum: Carrara
The good things: It renders so fast. And the Shader Tree Editor is so powerful and flexible. Extension capability makes it just as powerful as the more expensive Apps. All in all with a really good "patch" it could give 3DSMax and Lightwave a run for it's money. Along with a strong Third-Party support for extensions the skies the limit.

I say class action suit!!! F#@$% Metacreations they are quickly headed down the drain. Can't you hear the flushing sound. Or better yet get every Carrara user to demand a refund!!!
Thread: Amorphium and Carrara | Forum: Carrara
Yes I agree that Amorphium is a powerful tool, I posted the little alien guy I whipped up the other day when I was bored. It really neat use like stated above is the wasy you inport models and let's say ding them up a bit, and erosion. Or that hard to get affect when a bump map just wont do it. And for the Bryce and Carrara users it has a similar UI with the "room" concept.
Thread: Please tell me this isn't true.... | Forum: Carrara
Just to clear a post. I did not post this in the onelist. Shamms Motier did, in hopes of getting Antione C. form Metacreations to answer his questions. If you want to read the entire post goto the Onelist group for Carrara. Also you might want to watch there to see if in fact Antione does reply. If Antione post or answers it will most likely be there.
Thread: Environmental Maps????? | Forum: Carrara
I believe you can add the enviromantal map to the reflection channel of the shader and you will get that same affect. Not sure though haven't really tried it.

Did you do a typical or custom installation? If you did anything but a custom install then uniinstall Carrara, reinstall and make sure you select custom install and choose all the options the one you looking to install they may not be is the Icon Manager. I could be wrong though.
Thread: color me confused | Forum: Carrara
The mention of using Photoshop Plugins in the manual, as told to me buy Antione C. (Meta Senior Prog)is an error, I belive that was how he put it.
Thread: So Adobe buys Carrara!! | Forum: Carrara
Well I knew that when I posted the news that plenty of comments would follow, but I had no idea of the passion felt by so many. Yes I do agree that Adobe purchasing Carrara "might be a good thing" and yes we can certainly expect to pay big bucks for their plug-ins. Headgammer pretty says it....support will be stronger and plug-ins will be $$$. But maybe they will fix the bugs and more companies may jump onto the SDK bandwagon now that a strong company like Adobe has it......WE'll just have to wait and see
Thread: Adobe to acquire Canoma | Forum: Carrara
Just another rumor but I heard from a Meta employee that Zygote wa very interested in Poser. That would be a wonderful move there
Thread: Rendering questions? | Forum: Carrara
