Thread: Horizont 2 from Robotech Completed? | Forum: Bryce
I was a huge fan of Robotech when I was younger! I remember buying one of the Transformers (I think it was Jet Star) because it looked exactly like the Varitech (SP) fighters from the Macross series. Anyway .. . count me in as another fan! I wish I had some reference material I could work from. I don't even have the series on VHS anymore (the VCR ate it) Anyway, this looks great! keep up the good work.
Thread: What is the Purpose of Distance Render? | Forum: Bryce
I think the idea is to use the distance render as a mask for a gaussian blur in an application like Photoshop.

I always save files into a ZIP archive relative to the Poser4 folder anyway, so whether it is Metacreations/Poser4 or Curious Labs/Poser4 makes no difference

I'm pretty sure it would be x-scale. Just pick the individual finger joints and do the x-scale on them. That should make them longer without making them thicker.
Thread: Is it possible to remove some of the dials ?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I actually open the CR2 up in Wordpad and delete the individual rotation entries that I don't need. I've found that if I just make these dials hidden as mentioned above, that it is still possible to rotate on all three axes with the rotation tool. Not a good thing.
Thread: Thanks Jim. Here's the image. =) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You know. . . I get this problem too. What I usually do is export the UV's from the model before this happens to it using Steve Cox's UV Mapper. Then if this happens I can just open the sucker up in UV Mapper again and re-apply the old UV's. There may be an easier way to do it, or something more straight forward, but it works. That works in the programs I use anyway. I don't have Max, so I don't know if it would work on a 3DS file. I don't think UV Mapper can open anything but OBJ.
Thread: Rendering in Wireframe mode..?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Make Movie method is the one I use. When I bring up the make movie dialog the drop box that lets you chose what type of file I have the option of making an "AVI" or "Image Files" I just select "Image Files", get all the other settings fixed up the way I want them and hit "OK" or whatever it is. Then it brings up the dialog where I can chose what file type I want to save as, JPEG, TIFF, etc, and where I want to save it. I'm working with Poser 4 also, so if that option isn't available to you, I have no clue as to why. Upir--strange things are afoot at the Circle K

Looks pretty darn good to me. How'd you do it? An opaque cylinder inside of a transparent one?
Thread: Work in Progress ( Star Trek ) - Comments and advice needed | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Pugwash, Yep, that definately looks like Ensign Ro. If you could get that nose ridge and the hairstyle like she has in that pic it would be almost a dead ringer. I always kinda liked Ensign Ro--just because she wasn't the perfect officer that all the others tend to be. I agree with the others, that is an excellent uniform.

Oh yeah, it's shareware. The author only asks for a voluntary donation if you use the program a lot and can afford it.

You know, if you made a nose morph or prop to make that girl a Bajoran (sp) it would look a lot like Ensign Ro. It's been a while since I've watched an episode of Star Trek, but that seems pretty close to her to me.
Thread: Prelude to Y2K? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I thought 9/9/99 was only a problem for kidney dialasis machines. Looks like my computer escaped whatever destruction this date is supposed to wreak. We could always do like some small countries that don't have the money to complete Y2K preparations and make it 1995 again.
