So sad there are such vile people in the world. I'd love to know who these people / person is just to see what they are selling (or not selling ;) Its hard to imagine that someone can be so small minded, vindictive, malicious, selfish, and self centered. I am someone who makes a certain amount of income off selling poser models, but as many have stated above, I can't maintain totally on those sales alone. It is icing on the cake, and something I love to do. Unlike the creep(s) above I heartily support freestuff. Its a wonderful thing for new and continuing users of Poser and its a great thing for creators to be able to give back to the community that has provided so much! I've been awfully wrapped up and haven't made anything for free recently, but I'll find some time now!!! Any requests? Email me. Hugs to Ironbear, Questor, Blaze and all the others who support them and the ideals of what this community really is. Thread: Poser 5 & Virtual PC | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have found from past experience that there are a number of programs that don't work on VPC. I have a PC card in my Mac with has its own processor and memory. Its something like an AMD (?) 400 or 450. Which is too slow for things like clothify (it'll do it, just takes a fair amount of time). So at present, have P5 on my brothers machine until I can afford a PC.
Thread: Elf Queen not selling. Why? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would agree with the above posts that the release of poser 5 will tend to affect sales of 3rd party products at least at the beginning. In addition, certain things sell better that others, I believe. Conforming clothing (and now the challenge of dynamic clothing) is probably a good seller, and well made props as well. Characters, I can't comment on from personal experience, because I never buy them myself, as I figure I can make characters myself. Don't get me wrong, because I do think your elf queen is lovely, but I would probably spend my money on things that I know are very difficult to make. If you have had sales, that is a good thing and I wouldn't be discouraged. You might have to accept that sales will be steady rather than overwhelming. Again, patience grasshopper, I think P5 is affecting sales of many products. Also, mglant has valuable input on marketing. Good luck to you and don't get discouraged. Keep producing.
Thread: For those considering Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
::Well, for future reference, if I don't mention it, it doesn't get touched. ;):: Alrighty then, that's good to know... No suits here, more of the birkenstock & tie dye type myself. Back at it tomorrow.
