Thread: My Very First Vue Render and a Q | Forum: Vue
I had the same problem. Something I learned was press the F6 button to pull up the materials list. There you can edit each of the materials with ease. I had the same problem when I imported Mike with Armor - the reflections were really cool, but I thought it was a bit overboard. Great looking render too! ~ Brent

You'll have to sign up at PoserStyle (subscription site). It's a great deal for the price!Thread: Hair Painting Tutorials (Templates Not Postwork )...:O | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Also, if your up for spending $24 in the Market Place, I'd suggest Eon's Hair Master Class. It covers painting hair in post work and creating texture maps.Thread: Zombies Live With Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

It's also nice because you are notified when one of your favorite artists posts an image. Now, that is cool:)
Thread: 1 Step forward and 2 steps back - a not so nu-be nube question:) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I missed one critical step... By default, I have Poser setup to load Mike, so what I did was delete Mike, load the NULL and then load Mike again - and I got the same results as before. So, when I said I followed the steps "to the letter" I guess I was mistaken grin I've now replaced my default settings to load an empty scene so I could then load the NULL and then the characters. Thanks c1rcle and beryld for your replies!

Ah... I guess I DO need to sleep a little:) I turned off the resize and center object option and the Poser import ended up way out in la-la land... but I didn't even think of using the numeric entry to center the object manually. D'oh! ~ brent ~
Thread: Yippy, I got VUE, but now... :) | Forum: Vue
Thanks Guitta:) Well, I tried what you suggested and I think I'm for your preference - keep resize and center on:) I can live with scaling the scenes. Time to make another pot of coffee - No sleep for the wicked :) Thanks again for your help and warm welcome! ~ brent ~

His work is most impressive. He is the artist of the month currently and there is a nice story about him here at R'ostiy. You should check out the rest of his gallery... Completely amazing!Thread: On the proper use of the House Mouse | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great render Doger:) Reading through your pet list has made me want to read the Dragon Lance Chronicals again:) Not that I had any free time on my hands. Thanks;) ~ brent ~

Oh, now that is cool dadamson. I ran into something similar way back when I tried a LightWave PZ3 import. The transmaps Poser uses were opposite what LW used. That was a pain to hunt down and change each material that used a transmap and invert it:) Not that I don't mind doing some work to get things to look right, but the easier it is to import a scene the better:) MightyPete, what you explained sounded similar to what I had to do to get the OBJ loaded last night. My friend here at the office wrote a little program (PC) that will read the MTL file and go find and copy the textures to a folder where Bryce could find them to make importing OBJs a bit easier. It worked well, and I think it might work for VUE too (with a little modification). Come on IRS and process my refund - I WANT VUE :) Thanks for all of the input:) I really appreciate it. ~ brent ~
