I've never tried modeling boots and shoes before, but I'm going to give this a shot. It has a lot of detail on it, which is a problem to model given Poser's small default scale. A lot of that detail would be better left to a bump map. I'll post something if I think I get on the right track, or if I think it's an absolute failure that I can't finish. Acadia told me that she'd take a shot at texturing it if I could make the model.

Thread: How do you create to create specific morph to mimic unzipping and vice versa | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Gypsy Rose, Utilize, and As Shanim stuff are all worth having because of their undress morphs. Buy a set of one of those, and then examine it to see how it's done.
Thread: Poll on Dynamic Clothing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Heck, I need to start selling dynamic clothes then. Personally, I don't use it much, I prefer using conforming clothing with morphs for movement. I'm kinda surprised that there's a big demand for it.
Thread: Question: Scale Tool to Adjust Character Heights | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use scaling all the time to adjust character height. It usually works fine. There are problems with using some conforming clothes, though- I think since the clothes bend with the bones and not necessarily what you see of the body part, they will get off track. Global scaling seems to have the least amount of problems (the whole figure to 90%, for example). Slight scaling of body parts isn't that bad (90% on the y-axis in thighs and shins).
Thread: PhilC's Clothing Creator: A-Max? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't know what the update for the depth maps will be like, but actually the depth maps for the clothes created on your page were made in a third-party app (Max?). The work-around of using Poser depth-cuing to make the depth maps just doesn't cut it. Though I like many of Phil's products, I wasn't very impressed with the clothing creator. I think one is better off with a free 3D modeling program.
Thread: How do I get started with clothing design? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Start with a modeling program. I use Blender 3D, it's free. I started with it in June (no experience with any other modeling program), and by the end of the month I had mastered it well enough to make good clothing meshes, just by teaching myself and referring to online tutorials. There are other free modeling programs too, which may have more Poser-specific support in the way of tutorials and such. (I don't know of many other Poser users using Blender).
Thread: What is the best Modelling tool to create Poser Clothes besides 3dMax ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use Blender 3d. It's a great modeling program, and it's free. The downside is that I don't know too many Poser users who use Blender, so you may have trouble finding help for using it for Poser-related tasks. (If I get back in the habit of reading forums, then I can offer some help in the Blender forum). The upside of Blender is that it is FREE. I've made nice clothing with it.

It really wouldn't be different than any other morph. You may, however, be limited by the clothing with which you are starting. Your mesh has to allow for a split down the zipping/unzipping area.
Thread: The eternal question: Upgrade from 5 to 6? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Having fewer lockups doing the same kinds of thing is a good sign. A more usable cloth room would be worth the upgrade price.
Thread: The eternal question: Upgrade from 5 to 6? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Besides being quicker, is the cloth room less buggy? The Cloth Room in Poser 5 is a very delicate creature and I stopped using it because it wasn't worth all the tweaking needed to get it to work.
Thread: Converting dynamic clothing for pp | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You can do it, but it's harder to turn dyanmic to conforming than conforming to dynamic. Just like making any prop into a figure, you have to set up bones in it that will follow the the figure that wears it. If you search for a tutorial on making dynamic clothing, you should be able to find the steps in detail.
Thread: OT - Gender/Render question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If the idea is to create some sort of hypothesis about the sex of the artist and the content of the art, I think you'll find a weak link at best. Many artists are influenced heavily by other art that they have seen and admired. Scantily clad or nude women have dominated the history of art. The sex of the artist doesn't change what other art is available as inspiration. I haven't counted up the responses here, but at quick glance, it looks like the numbers of men focusing on women and the number of women focusing on women are about the same.

DAZ doesn't include any texture maps with V3 and M3. Just like the morph packs, you have to buy the texture packs separately. And if you haven't bought the DAZ map packs yet, don't. (And I just mean the V3 and M3 hi-res map packs they advertise alongside the figures, not character packages.) They are no better than just altering diffuse color. Download some free textures, and if you need more, shop around for character packs.
Thread: Why? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am, in fact, so lonely that I need to create virtual girlfriends. It never works out though. Yeah, initially they are thankful that I created them, but they'll run off with the first good-looking M3 character they see. So I punish them all by releasing a few monsters to chase after them.
