Thread: OT: I'm grateful... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My father was a WWII vet and my uncles and brother served in the Navy.
Thanks to all who are willing to sacrifice and their families who do so as well.
Thread: Hair Tutorial...where are you? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks pakled. I just can't fins hair I liked and the last time I tried to non-Simon hair on Simon, I wanted to pitch the computer through a window. I tried every bit of advice and never got it to work. So trying to conform, fit, morph or whatever...hair has not been a successful venture for me.
I tried to do hair to Ryan's skull cap by editing a created hair group and that....well totally sucked too. I know everyone says to get in there and play with it, but by the end of it I am afraid Ryan and I will both be without a hair on our heads!

So, since I am stll new, you think I can take a model - say Simon and morph him into a gargoyle?

Thread: Problem: Conforming -> want to move object | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Yeah I ran into this quite some time ago when I wanted to fit hairs to another character. One suggested solution for that has been to parent the hair manually instead of conforming, which is a solution I don't like at all, since it doesn't bend with the character. (I made custom morphs for it instead)
Newbie here - have the same issues with conforming hair, posing and the hair doing it's own thing. Not wanting to hijack the thread, but what is the diff. between conforming and morphing?
Thread: Cross Fitting Hair for Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
So if the file has the CR2 extension it is a conforming figure? I tried to put Ryan hair on Simon and never got it properly parented. (I have thread detailing my woes somewhere)

Ahhh, thanks. I see what you are saying. I will re-download then. I installed on my hard drive and added to the library.

Sorry for the confusion. I am using Poser 8. And when I unzipped the files, it put them in a content folder on my hard drive. I then wenty to poser and added the content by browsing tothe runtime folder in the content that was added.
Thing is, when I DL Michael from Daz, I had four different downloads for materials, proprs, etc. I had only added the M4 Michael when I added the content, then installed the remaining three files from the Download and that's when I ran into trouble. I have no hair, props, etc.

OK, I am giving up, nothing seems to work. Any suggestions for free hair for Simon model? (Beginning to think I wasted 200 bucks on this program.)
