I am fed up with this stupidity of difficulties/variabilities in downloading files.
Please PM me with your e-mail and I will send to you.
I think it is VERY good!

ThisĀ is using the Ocean Primitive and the DCG Terrain Tools shader plugin.
Hope of interest.

Using the basic Surface Replicator--with all the potential variations--seems the obvious and most logical way to go.
Ā
Why go down any other track?

Yes you can do billboards (called Splats in Carrara)as an alternative--but generally the Surface Replicator would beĀ Ā better I suggest.Ā Easy as pie!

Adjust your lighting to suitĀ before rendering.
Use Hubble images for a background.

Higher qualityĀ planet images abound--did you use the biggest of the Earth maps that come with Carrara?

In Carrara we have the brilliant Replicator and Surface Replicator. (Have had for several versions)
Don't know where you got that idea about C8--don't we have it allready--allways?

Sorry if I mislead you----I think both the lens flair and the rays would only be effective in the sky (atmosphere)--the distant light, as a sunlight, would have to be visableĀ in the scene?
Be seen through and above the water?.

The sunrays inC8 are pretty much a pita.
Everything has to be set "exactly" so to get the effect.
The regular Light "lens Flare" options can more easily/effectivly be applied to a scene I think.
