OK, I'm gettin' there. I figured out what my problem was with Tobi and Thomas were (darn objaction mover, maybe next time I'll thoroughly read the readme!! hehe) I also found his Lionheart character and it looks very good. I'm probably going to have to make my own texture for it, but that's easier than making my own MODEL for it! :) Even still, I'd love to have my character based on Michael rather than Dork, so if anyone knows of any good morphs for Mike, please hit me up. Thanks.

I might try to convert the Vicky textures to fit on Mike, but the other problem I'm having is that Mike only has two "cat-type" morphs - cat nose and cat mouth. It's better than nothing, but he still looks too human for me. What I'm really looking for is a cat's (or tiger's) head on Mike's body. Need morphs!! Surely there's got to be a Mike cat-head morph out there somewhere!

The OS is, in my opinion, the single most important factor in Poser rendering success/failure. Win98 is notorios for hanging during renders, I've seen it many times myself. You'd see a big improvement by going to XP, but if nothing else then at least get Windows 2000. Also, like Ron said, the more RAM the better, and RAM is so cheap these days...

What problems are people having with XP? I hear rumors about these "horror stories" but I never actually hear the horror stories themselves. I'm a computer technician, and everyone I know who has XP is very happy with it. I personally have XP installed on 3 different machines and I love it. It's so much more stable than the other windows OS's, I can't hardly make it crash if I try. It's driver database is so expansive that nearly every piece of hardware you put into the machine gets auto-detected within seconds, often you don't even have to install any additional drivers. For people like myself who tend to upgrade fairly frequently or just prefer a hard-drive wipe once or twice a year to keep things running smoothly, it's SO much easier to get everything back up and running. I remember using Win98 and spending 4 hours reinstalling drivers while hopping back and forth between safe mode. Now THAT'S a horror story!! :)

ScottA, does that just remove them from view or does it actually delete them the same way as if you edited the text file?

For the record, I recommended that you go to Windows XP. It runs just about everything without a hitch and has other features that W2K doesn't. However, if you have access to a cheaper copy of W2K, then it's definately an improvement over Win98...

Axe, the pic looked dark to me when I looked at it yesterday on my girlfriend's monitor, but here on my work PC I can see more of the detail. I've always thought that her monitor seemed dim.

That's the one thing that kinda sucks about most dark elves is that their skin is so dark that you can't see a lot of the detail... Unless, of course, you go with Ghostofmacbeth's idea of a DE, which actually makes more sense for DE's to be pale considering they rarely see the surface, but I digress. What texture is that on the adventurer suit, Ser?

I can't believe that many of you were fished in. The first thing I thought was "yeah right, on Apr 1, how convenient..."

I don't think that any of your dark elf pics have looked like dark elves. One looked like a tan woman with blond hair. This one looks more like a sea elf than a dark elf. I think the fact that all your dark elves are stranded on desert islands (rather than lurking around in caves like good dark elves are prone to do) is hurting your cause as well.
