Hi tdierikx. I know about this problem from some users. I must ask you too about your version of Vue, because the same troubles I had with some atmospheres by Audity. As far as I know, it happens when you try load atmospheres into older version of Vue, than they were created. I created my atmospheres in Vue dEsprit 4.1, so it s possible that in Vue 4.06 or older they can make problems. Try to install latest update. Or you can download my small tutorial how I made it and create your own and even better ;) (link included)

Its all about transparency settings. Transparency is set to 0%, but fading slider is default set to 15% and color of fading affects overall lighting, even with zero transparency. I dont know if it is bug or feature :) Set fading to 0% (for cubes material), this could help. (set transparency higher than zero, to make fading active, then move fading slider to 0% and transparency back to 0%)

I use similar method like Lingrif. Terragen + F.E.O. plugin (FEO =For export only). With this plugin you can export Terragen terrain as bmp height map. Terragen itself can export terrains as lightwave .lwo objects. They can be used in Vue dEsprit, but its too many polygons and you cant use standard Vue tools for terrain editing. Btw, I wrote an article about that for Renderosity magazine (issue 6 I guess)
