When I downloaded the update from Daz3d today I was able to update my copy of Tailor. And, I purchased my copy of Tailor from here originally. Though I had installed the last update from Daz as well. Perhaps that was the 'missing step'? Tom
Thread: dumb question | Forum: 3D Modeling
The Stitch plugin for 3DS Max includes GarmentMaker which does what your talking about to a degree. Don't have MAX so have never played with it, however Stitch is used to handle the dynamic cloth in Poser 5. Curious Labs didn't include the GarmentMaker portion however.
Stitch goes beyond simple cloth simulation by offering GarmentMaker, a sophisticated clothing designer that allows you to design and create your own digital fashions by creating traditional flat patterns and panels from splines. You can even mix different fabrics in one garment. Once clothing is positioned on your character, Stitch will automatically drape and gather the material for a realistic fit. "

Clint, Thanks. I don't know what was wrong with my downloads. Everytime I downloaded it, the file would come up corrupted and say "Not a valid archive etc etc" Just tried it again and it worked fine. Thanks again, Tom
Thread: have you made money with P5 (or pX)? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I currently use Poser for Medical Style renderings and make money from it. A part time job, with a lot of changes as the projects continue, but not bad. Though it has stolen most of my 'free time' with Poser to do fun renders. Tom

Tried that and no go here. It just looks at me and moves them around on the list. May be a problem with my system though I'll admit that. Thanks again :) Tom

Yeah I was just playing with it myself. No way to delete the blank channels inside of MPE either. Easier to scroll through and delete the blank channels from the pose file however in NotePad now though. Or may take some time in a few days to write a script to do it in the future for other projects. Thanks LD, Tom

Thread: Poser Light Studio betatesters wanted! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not much of a gallery here, but would be interested in testing this. Personally am working on BioMedical projects that would benifit from Studio like lighting that doesn't kill the render times. WinXP, 1.92 Ghz and 1.5 GB of Ram.. to start with. Thanks, Tom

I would love to beta this. It's application in a working environment for real faces would be rather interesting to see.

Yeah just open up the CR2 in a text editor. Glance through the FBM (BODY) section. You'll see what I'm talking 'bout there ;) Gotta learn to live is me's motto.

MomCat, Not sure on V3, but I know when creating a full body morph for many figures (the ones I looked at, at least) what it does is store the dial morph settings in there. So if you have partial body morph on the chest set to .5 then it stores that info in the full body morph section. So in reality you can't delete that 'unused' morph.. it's still called by the full body morph dial. As for the hair.. not a clue Sorry. Tom

Thread: Not getting ebot posts.... | Forum: Community Center
Linux 8 has such a cute GUI awwwwwww. ;) If you hit their X-Win interface it looks more like Solaris IMHO. As for Ebots, I was coming here to mention I haven't been getting them for a while now. Tom
