I do not know how to fix the problem but I have come up with a way to unfreeze my screen.

When it freezes, I hit the 'X' to close Poser7.  Then it asked me if I want to 'save' or not, I hit 'Cancel'.  Viola.  Screen unfrozen, back to posing.  If I get the 'End Program' prompt, I hit 'No.'

I don't get too many freezes.  When I do it is generally after a render when I am trying to return to posing mode (whatever its called).  Works every time.  But I still save frequently, just to be sure.

I am relatively new and only know P7.  I would hate to step backwards, but it seemed like a quick and easy way to deal with certain tight fitting garments (stockings, bikini, etc).

I have always been a paper/pen guy at home and at work.  But it is a loosing battle.  I travel for work a fair amount & I have several computers, so consolidating information where I can find it has become a problem.

I am trying hard to learn Poser and that is generating lots of notes, which I like to access from multiple locations/computers. 

My solution for Poser information & tips: Yahoo Notepad

It is not very fancy, but it supports folders for organization.  Can access it anywhere with no trouble.  It is in Yahoo's Mail area.   I have no idea what the capacity limit is, but I am not storing anything big.  No doubt Google has something similar.

I got the same yesterday - " parse error: junk after document element at line 2"

The other day I got this one - " Parse Error: not well formed at line 62"

Someone in the DAZ Member forum suggested I delete an XML file at the following location:

Poser UI Prefs_1280x1024.xml
which is located in:
C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorApplication DataPoser 7

I did fiddle with the Adaptive Memory Size.   I put the Adaption Threshold back to .3750.

But I don't know what the Memory Buffer Limit was set at!!!!!  Can you tell me a value??

I reduced the Max Bucket size from 64 to 32.  Is there any rule of thumb with this setting??

Should I also be fiddling with the Adaptive Bucket setting in General Preferences??

I get the same about result with Render Dimensions set on Match Preview or Fit in Window.

Attached is a shot of the render I keep getting.  I have no camera pointed in this direction.  In fact it is behind the camera.

As for the original preview window, I don't really know how to turn a screen capture into a simple jpeg or png.

Not sure what a 'shadow camera' is.  Using Firefly with auto settings.  None of the 'Option' boxes on FireFly are checked.

However, I get a very good render of a very small area.

The problem is restricted to the scene.  Opened another scene and it render fine.

I think you are on to something, because it always seems to be looking thru another camera with a real tight focus.  Have to keep looking

I use Poser 7............ and I seem to be constantly running into issues like this.  Don't know if it is me, Poser or my rig.
