Well, I went back in and there is no reflection map applied to this. So, I'm thinking probably highlight and specularity?

Okay, I will check both reflection and highlight and try dialing them down a notch.
Overall, I can't say enough about how impressed I am with what I can do in Vue. The ecosystem is second-to-none and I have yet to see many other apps that can touch it. Oh, I'm sure the really high stuff such as Maya, Lightwave, etc could but with this type of efficiency?Â
Thanks for the feedback, I will go and check those settings. I am using Poser 6, if you feel that it might make a difference.

Agreed, I am always for an app to continue to improve itself. And here's one Poser user that can't wait to get rid of it. It takes ten times longer to load than any other app I have including Vue 5 Infinite and Carrara 4 Pro. From what I was reading in the other forums, the issue with bump map files is still not fixed in Poser 6. Poser 6 is what Poser 5 should have been, why do I have to pay for this upgrade? Given time, I could continue my rant. I'm tickled that Carrara will now support native Poser files. Who really cares if e-frontier is happy or not. Poser has had a huge head start in the market and their fifth incarnation was still not a sparkling success. There is a lot I like about DAZ Studio, but it can't import into Vue or Carrara and it sometimes has issues with models, but for a first incarnation, it's a fairly decent app. More people using Poser than DAZ Studio equates to more posts in the Poser forums, but plenty of folks post over at DAZ.

Mornin All. I came on board with Poser at version 3. Got on to Bryce version 3. Didn't get to Vue until version 4. I'm on Poser 5 now (not upgrading to 6 unless I have to), I have Bryce 5.5 and Vue 5, 5 Pro and then went to Infinite. As it stands now, Bryce can only compete with Vue to a point. If DAZ truly wishes to compete with Vue, they have a lot of work ahead of them and a very long way to go. They would need to make a "Pro version" of Bryce. The price the Bryce is at now, is a good price for the artist/hobbiest. I think that Eovia wanted to eliminate the middle man so to speak and not have the ability to use DAZ models in Carrara dependant on Poser. Thus the support for native Poser content. Plus it will eliminate the 40 minutes it takes to import a poser model into Carrara. For a free program, I think that DAZ Studio is nothing to sneeze at. Maybe it can't do all the things that Poser can, but after 6 incarnations, I'm not so hot about Poser anymore. They still have not fixed the issue with bump maps mapping to the correct node. If DAZ Studio continues to improve, I won't upgrade Poser. I would not mind seeing a module/interface/plug-in to go from DAZ Studio to Vue. Heck, I wouldn't mind the reverse either. I started a feedback thread at e-on http://www.e-onsoftware.com/support/ShowMessage.php?id=1133400690 and Matt pointed it out to the "big guys" to gauge the interest. If you have any interest, I would ask you to post to that thread. I would not mind either if Vue supported native Poser/DAZ Studio/DAZ Model content. I have not used Terregen that much, so really can't comment on it. I definitely don't have any of the high end apps either. I don't model and they cost a lot more than I can swing right now.

Here's my problem with all of this. Why did Lady Littlefox hold up Frances as an example when she herself has done the same thing? Go to www.elfquest.com and you will see the similarities between her work and theirs. When I first saw Koshini, I thought of Elfquest and I even found it interesting that her models had four fingers the same as those characters. How does the saying go about glass houses?

Okay. I'll agree to disagree. I don't feel I'm making any mountains. I was just explaining my position. I know not all pop up ads are spyware and I can usually tell the bad from the good. Oh, it was the other poster who said criminal, not me. I know they are not, but man do I wish they were.

tradivoro - first I didn't critisize the site, I merely stated it would have been nice to know about the pop ups in advance. I appreciate anyone who is willing to share knowledge, but how difficult it is to get to the knowledge and based on what it is, determines whether or not I feel it's worth it for me to go and get it. And I have a huge problem with pop ups and usually avoid sites with them on there. But in this case, I didn't know about them until after I got there, so how could I have avoided it? I will not buy from pop up ads because I feel that type of advertising is beyond annoying. Spyware is something that has been hurting my company (Fortune 100 company) big time. People are losing days of productivity because they get a pop up when going to a site that they believe they need to access the site. It's not until after that it's on their machine they discover it's spyware. Usually most products you can get rid of, but there have been cases when the machine has had to be wiped and reimaged. So, again, I merely requested that when posting the link a little heads up like, "Oh my site uses pop up ads" would have been nice.
