Same thing with Microsoft, therefor, I still stick with Windows2000 and will never use XP. In the future, I may be "SWITCH".

"...We are steadily heading to a future in which the control of humanity's intellectual property - works of art, multimedia, ideas, writings, etc. - is so vested in software vendor(s) that it is fair to say that the average user of a proprietary desktop will eventually no longer "own", in the traditional sense of the word, his or her own electronic creations. In other words, the products of our creative minds, the very essence of our humanity, are being relentlessly stripped from us.If you use a proprietary OS to make a video or audio track, or to write a research paper, and save it in one of the default proprietary electronic data formats, you might soon find yourself actually paying someone else run-time and/or license renewal fees just to access your own creations. Not to mention any charges that may apply to distributing copies to others (whether directly or because the recipient must also pay similar runtime or recurring fees to access the data). You tell me, when you have to pay one particular vendor money every time you or someone else views a movie you created, who owns the movie? ..."

The Big diffidence between Poser3 and Poser4 is clothing. There is no cloth conform in Poser3.

The one who wrote that is jealous. .....O.K. Poser is fastfood but I like it. I have Lightwave but I still like to use poser. Because in Lightwave, to build a human figure like the one in poser, need to built model from scratch. In poser, just some clicks on the mouse. You got it! So, what's wrong with poser? I am 100% support POSER!!! I even have 2 copy of POSER 4.

I use Copy and Paste in the Key Frames Editor a lot. It is very usefull when you want to making looping animation. Copy the first key frame to the last key frame (of couse you need to make some things in between), you got a loop. Also, copy and paste are good for the parameter dials too.

I don't mean Poser is the a powerful program.
I use other too, Lightwave 5.6 (yes, still 5.6, just don't want to spend the upgrade money) and Rhino 2.0. I have Ray Dream Studio 5 but abandon it for a long time ago.
The point is, I see people have Tons of Programs and Books but never make a single image. What is that good for?

Program is a tool. Carpenter has hammer and saw. I use Poser to creat the image that I want. It is not the "HI" or "LOW" at all. It is the imagination in the soul of yours.

If the new XP can make a old P II 300 run like rocket then Intel and the rest of PC maker will be out of job. Micro$oft just doing a favour to its business partners.

Just joking. LOL. Lets make it clear, the 1st object is call "Parent", the 2nd object which attached to the "Parent" is call "Child". When you move the parent, it will lead the child as well but when you move the child, it will have no effect to the parent. A private cannot give order to a caption, right?

Currently Poser 4 cannot write expressiton like Softimage does, with the expression and a little bit of hardware programing, Softimage can run real time animation. Curious Labs should consider adding Direct 3D or OpenGL heardwear support and expression opreation for their next verion of Poser; or even Poser can project exe file out like Director does. With those feature we can very easy to make interactive 3D human!!! This will have more fun than just rendering.

Computer is just a tool. Can you compare a Rolls Royce and a Ferrari? We should concentrate on how to solve a problem.
