Well, you could create the walk, then go into the animation palette, select all the keyframes for the second character, and displace them by a few frames. That would stagger them and stop the in time marching. I think you can also set how many step a character does within a given timeframe - setting it to different numbers would give quicker or slower steps. And of course, by altering the walk cycle in the designer itself, you can give them very different characteristics in their walk, helping to distinguish the two.

I would recommend getting the basic shape made in another program - trying to wrap a rectangle of cloth around your firgue is going to be a nightmare. Use your reference pics to build it in something else - if you're looking for a no-budget modeler, there's Wings 3D, Blender, or Anim8tor - , then expoty/import it as an obj, and then clothify it.

Well, I'll be totally honest and say I'm not sure I would fall into the comercial renders side of things here - I'm purely hobbysit thus far, although I am cnsidering a few ideas of making money with Poser - and in our current financial status, giving a donation isn't an option without extra income. This upsets me, because I really want to give something - I know how I would feel if either of my daughters was in a similar condition. I did love your Iron Man story over on the DAZ forums, though, and I hope your son is still enjoying wearing his power harness... :)

I would recommend uninstalling and re-installing, rarther than writing over. It only takes a few moments longer, and negates any problems.

Actually, rathat than confroming, I'd consider making this a dynamic prop - parent the object to the clothing underneath, set the fastened ends as constrained points, and run the simluation. You're likely to get better results of the sash in motion that way, as it crosses various bodyparts, than you are with it bending with the body a la conforming clothing.

I'll confess, i'd love a copy as well. It's great to see someone modelling a character with a more 'normal' appearance out of the box - and the work you've done with joint parameters is stunning.

Nice work here, Patorak... I was a sometime lurker on your plain jane development thread, and admired what you were doing, and the Catwoman outfit you're working on for SSafam1 at the moment is also stunning.
Keep up the fantastic work.

Thread: Loading selective ++Morphs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just found a reference to Poser Tollbox, by PhilC, which has the option to delete all non-delta morphs (morphs which haven't been used) from a figure. Theres a host of other little gadgets and bits in the toolbox as well, so a very worthy product for the price (as all of Phil's items are)

I'm sure there was a script called dial cleaner, or similar, though, which stripped out the unused morphs from your poser scene/character...

Trying to remember where the dial cleaner script was located - I'm sure someone created something that removed unused morphs, so only those used by a given character actually remained injected.

Thread: P7 Transparency | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I would have thought translucence rather than transparency would be the chosen node for the umbrella - though whether this also allows light to continue moving through and create shadows, I have no idea. As with many things in the 3D world, you may have to cheat it - one light above the umbrella hitting a translucent material, to give the impression of the light coming from behin the character, and then another light coming from within the umbrella to create shadows.

Thread: Problem with axis interpretation in Poser 7 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It depends on whether the object in question is parented to anything - igf it if, it uses the parent's axis as it's point of reference.

Thread: Time to retire Poser 4 MATS? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nickedshield, the question is not whether P4 MATS will work in later versions of Poser (I see no reason why they wouldnt'), but whether it is worth merchants' (and freebie creators') time to create P4 MAYS specifically, since such a version is now ten years and several versions out of date.

Whilst you're right about the lack of trasference of procedural material nodes from Poser to other applicatoin, kuroyume, the same is true of almost every other modeler or 3d program I can think of. Short of baking the texture (which doesnt' really transfer the proecdurals, but merely flattens them down to a ne wtexture map), I can't think of any two 3d programs which allow you to share procedural systems - Maya and C4D wouldn't talk to one another, for example. So this is not so much a problem for Poser as it is simply a part of the 3D situation.
