I also am running Poser on an XP system with absolutely no trouble. Maybe I skipped over a post, but it sounds like you still haven't updated Poser since the install. I would highly recommend grabbing the latest Poser patch. 4.03 is available at www.curiouslabs.com.

Heck, this is only "mild nudity", ;P Looks amazing. I believe something from the "Dance Club Collection" at DAZ might fit nicely. Not free, though. You could whip up a transmap real quick to take the shoulders straps off the halter top or something. Man, I love this. Great background choice.
Thread: Eyeballs to Bryce? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Whoops, I just answered this above. If you mean to say that the TEXTURES aren't applying to the eyes, that's because there are "shells" around the textured part. Just delete the shells... OR for extra realism, you can make them transparent and increase the specular option in the materials editor. However, if the eyeballs are gone completely, then this won't help ya much! You might wanna check the Bryce forum too, there's lots of help for Poser2Bryce topics.

This also goes on a lot in the Bryce forums (Mike and Vicki lose their eyes in pretty much every application, I take it). Rather than deleting the shells, its recommended that you make them transparent and then bring up the specular settings to add a realistic glare effect to the eyes.

I was JUST browsing topics of this sort! Hope the link helps. The steps/fixes seem very clear to me after reading the thread.Thread: Captured On camera in New Mexico | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Excellent, excellent work. Where can you get the figures themselves? Is it a Vicky morph? Links?? Links please!!! BTW, that texture is excellent work. I said that already...

I believe there's also a "null loader" available; might be the same thing that thgeisel is refering to. There's a link at DAZ3D under the FAQ area (its not actually a DAZ product). Its pretty easy to use. I've never had trouble with Mike, but multiple Vicki posing is a constant battle. You just load the null figure first, then you add all your characters "through it", and it eliminates the cross-talk. It automatically adds ascending numbers to the figures and their respective body parts/morphs. You could probably do this manually, but there's really no need.

Thanks so much the suggestions and information! This should get me going. I didn't know VCDs would play in DVD players... something new to play with this week! Thanks again; much appreciated!
Thread: Poser and Premiere, image resolution issues | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To further clarify, I'm just looking for the "perfect" resolution for my renders so the image is not distorted in any way. The 720x480 ratio isn't right, so I guess THAT's what I'm really looking for; the perfect ratio. Tried to explain it the best I could! Surely someone else has experimented with this program combination.
Thread: Removing Victoria2 MT's? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There are probably faster ways to do this, but for now I simply go into the Heirarchy Editor and select "Show All Parameters". Now all the morphs show. I say that other ways might be faster because this method is VERY tedious when you are deleting half the morphs from the character. I don't know if it helps Poser run any better with out all those morphs, but it sure makes posing easier since you don't have to scroll as much. =) I'm sure someone will suggest editing the CR2 directly or something like that, but that's over my head for now! Good luck!

Incidentially, I'm holding out for Service Pack 1. It plans to integrate the missing letters in "XP", giving the user the benefit of having the full word "experience" in the title (or, arguably, "experienced"). They also are going to allow for further customizations, such as changing the Start Menu fonts exclusively and including a new animated helper, the "Internet Spider". Under the working title of "John", this animated spider spins dynamic real-time webs (openGL enhanced in 64-bit color) and provides EXTRA hyperlinks designated by Microsoft or "interested parties" that relate to the content you're browsing at any particular time. John the Spider will have two settings: 1) Pop up more often, and 2) Pop up less often, but still pop up. He can be disabled through regedit, but the HKEY reference will vary depending on what time of day you apply the service pack. Microsoft is also planning a Plus! Pack Plus! which will include the SP1 updates, plus (!) more hyperlinks to games on Microsoft's own Zone.com gaming area. So much to look forward to!

RE: wgreenlee1... What? I always use the Dolly Cam when animating, since it moves like it's on a tripod as opposed to orbiting a particular object. Point being: Many people usually don't pose with the Dolly Cam so when you load other poses it shouldn't affect you. Actually, I've never seen a pose change the camera position. Make sure you're applying the pose to the figure and not the camera.

Wow, this is the first time I've checked out SAMS3D's architecture section! Those buildings look great! You can load those right into Poser? That's an amazing image, BTW.

I'm sure a lot of the artists here wouldn't want to reveal their techniques. Personally, I'd probably never pay for a tutorial unless it's in physical book or magazine form... and I rarely pick those up either. There's already a wealth of great tutorials on the internet, for free.

I like the texture with the yellow! Only problem is it looks like the inside of the cape could use a higher res map if thats possible. Great work though! I like that first texture better than this last one, IMHO.
