That's so true, but then again, look at Bug's Life.
Most of the ants talk in male voices, yet most ants that you ever see in real life are all the female ants, untill mating time, and then all the males get to chase the queeny around and then the leftovers get kicked out and even have their wings pulled off and basically are killed, same as with bees LOL
Glad I'm a human, it's at least a tiny, little bit better then that LOL

Thread: Nazonex Commercial | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That Nasonex thing is really creepy - the bee model is horrioble and the animation is just disturbing. And they vooice - is that supposed to be Banderas?
Yeah, I have to kinda agree with this point LOL
Cuz that bee does come off as, what the heck were they going for anyway!?
And in a couple of psrts, he looks like he's humping that flower, or something? LOL
Either way, someone got some money for making that pretty basic commercial,
so I'm glad for them, cuz I don't see much work put into it, not really that is :)
I like the Poser looking lady commercial much better though.

Thread: Suggestions on Poser 6 Filing system? | Forum: Poser Technical
Thanx all for these suggestions and thoughts/ideas and I'll also check into that Boost thingy.
Where I tended to really get lost, was when I get files that don't do like the DAZ files do,
which have exc files that automatically install everything where they belong,
instead of me trying to "guess" where everything went?
Thanx again for the great replies and I owe you guys one for this bit of help :)

Hmmm,,, this thread turned out pretty good :)
I too thought all the same things when I seen her hair, and like I say, I wished I would
have recorded it, because then I could do some closer checking, as the commercial
only comes on randomly and you never know when?
I'll have to check up on these links provider here and see what I see?
And yes, I keep wishing there was some "other" search engine I could use,
as I am "completely" discusted with Yahoo giving up that man to a 10 year jail term,
and Google doing the same things. It makes me sick!
I want to ban them somehow, but have no clue how I (one person) could make any difference?
But I sure want to, cuz that's pathetic and makes my stomach turn.
Umm... anyway, thanx for those links and the great thoughts on the subject, especially,
since they all matched my own thoughts as you have to admit, it sure as heck "looks"
like they were using a Poser lady there or at the least, a modified Poser lady?

Thread: Nazonex Commercial | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmmm... it would be nice if you could actually ask them who created it and what they used and
all that, but I dought we could do that, unless you know of a special link to get ahold of them or something?
If so, please let us know?
I know I'd be curious?
Either way, if it is made from Poser (which it sure looks like it is)
then that would be pretty cool to see Poser being used that way.
If not, and since it still does look like it was made in Poser, then that still shows that
you "could" make a whole commercial for a big shot company just by using Poser,
since everything in it does come off as Poser-ish, and done very nicely so :)
I'm only just starting to learn about the animating features and aspects of Poser,
but am hoping to learn it lots better down the road, when I have more time that is.
Though for right now, I'd be happy just to figure out how to use Templates, like I got
those free textures for the Hawk that I bought and it would be nice to know what to
do with them and how you go about working with, whatever templates are? LOL
And could someone you maybe go to the other Poser forum, the technical one, and check out
my thread there on organizing files in Poser and maybe give me some tips, if you have any that is?
I'd sure appreciate it, even if the question might seem lame to you pros out there, as I'm just starting
out with Poser and really want to get this filing system better organized before I start getting to
far into Poser and end up getting myself all messed up with crazy files all over the place LOL

Nobody yet, eh?
Oh well, I'll do what I always do and figure out my own method to better
organize this zillion mile long mess, that Poser seems to want to put you into LOL
Thanx anyway...................md :)

Here's a link to a QT video of what I am talking about. You'll probably laugh, or maybe cry LOL when you see this LOL http://www.md-arts.com/Poser/TooManyPoserSubFolders.mov 16megs .............md :)
Thread: .PMD file - what are these used for? | Forum: Poser Technical
Hmmm, EnglishBob, I kinda think I might like this idea too. Your method I mean. Is there some really good reason to NOT do things this way, I mean, other then the little bit larger file sizes? I have gobs and gobs of HD space, so that doesn't bother me. I'm finally having the time to get back into Poser since I first bought a couple months back and am now rethinking all of my settings and such. Anyway, thanx............md :)
Thread: Poser 6 Crashing... I need help! thanx :) | Forum: Poser Technical
Thanx a zillion for the link and the Welcome as well
I posted my very first Poser scene which was a Poser
scene that I loaded into Vue when I first got Poser.
The very first night I got Poser I was posing away having a blast and now love
this program, even though I haven't yet had the chance to get back to it until just now.
I've been working at several different things all at the same time as I am working towards
getting some of my own objects out to market and am in the learning process of figuring
out how I need to do things so they (the objects) will be compatible with
both Poser and Vue and some other formats possibly as well.
This was my very first attempt with Poser as well as my very first attempt
with bringing a Poser scene into Vue and it worked out pretty good for a first try.
Now they have it as one of the little adds in the top right corner over
at Cornucopia's site in the Store section, I think it can be found?
http://www.cornucopia3d.com/
It's the Dog and His Friend scene.
(man and dog, if you like... I prefer, dog and man LOL)
http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez?ByArtist=Yes&Artist=mdunakin
I now love Poser!
And of course, I love Vue too
BTW, been rockin with my new drivers allll day long without one glitch yet.
Morrowind still acts weird, but there is probably
Nothing I can do about that as it's kind of an old game.
But the main thing I care about, is all my intensive graphics programs,
(mainly my 3D programs) are all working awesomely now.
Anyway, now I have a new hang out with other people who do Poser stuff too

Thread: Poser 6 Crashing... I need help! thanx :) | Forum: Poser Technical
Thanx for those tips all :) I'll do that Deleting the man thingy right away, as that gets anoying real fast LOL Yes, I knew that the display driver was really old, I put that old one in there on purpose, because NONE of the others I tried (and trust me, I tried every single one out there) would work on my system. And the early driver would at least NOT freeze up my Modeler in LW. BUt!, while researching tonigh on Poser, I found that they mentioned something about a NEW driver for my card and sure enough, they did have one that was released just a few days back, on the 17th. So, I thought, what the heck, I've tried all the rest up to that driver build, might as well see if this one works. I read the little bit of info they had and it actually sounded like maybe this time they finally fixed some of the issues that I've been waiting for, like OGL 2.0 support, which my card was meant to do from the beginning but never did. I cleaned out the old drivers and shut off my AntiVirus and installed the new 84.21 driver, and BAMM! it worked like a charm! Not only did it fix Poser, but NOW I can rotate anything from a simple box or sub'ed box all the way up to my complex steam engine train objects like lightning speed with NO freezes! Yaaaayyyy! ! ! ! ! Now maybe I can try and install the modern BIOS for my system, instead of that really old version I'm currently using LOL I'll wait and see first though, as it feels good finally having this thing work for once! I DO want to figure out what this thing is that you mention about fooling my card, as I've heard about that before I even bought the card, but no one ever pointed me to where I find these things? If you happen to have some links for me, i'd sure appreciate it? :) Boy!, for me being a complete newbie, you all sure are treating me nice, that seems weird in this age of newbie haters LOL Thanx, that means a lot to me..........md :)
Thread: Poser 6 Crashing... I need help! thanx :) | Forum: Poser Technical
BTW, as long as I have you all here, is there any way to make Poser NOT load up that default man every single time you start up Poser? Can I modify a config or something? I never found anything to change in any prefferences. ..........md :)
Thread: Poser 6 Crashing... I need help! thanx :) | Forum: Poser Technical
Thanx, I'll try that next. The problem with all this is, I had recently reformatted my system and everything is a fresh install. In otherwords, Poser worked perfectly fine for me the last time I had it installed. now, I'm finding, it's not just those couple of options/buttons that I've clicked on, but almost all the others that are doing the same things, when it comes to the Menus, I mean. I click on them and then they cause Poser to crash out on me. So, I'll try that version out right now. I DID just try out the SreeD to see if that would make any difference, instead of using the OGL option, BUT I didn't change the other option. Here is my system, if this helps any? RAIDMAX Astro ATX-268 Black CASE (I love this case) Thermaltake 680w Power supply ASUS A8N-SLI Premium AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Toledo 1GHz FSB 2 x 1MB L2 OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 Platinum XFX PVT45GUDF3 Geforce 6800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Maxtor DiamondMax 10 6L120M0 120GB, 150GB, 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA HD Plus a couple of LiteOn DVD RW DL 16x Drives. XP Pro (32bit not the 64bit version, not enough things work with it yet) BIOS Build: 1007 Display Driver: 66.72 Wacom3 6x8 I had to resort back to the oldest versions of BIOS and Display Drivers because of sooooo many stupid issues. Like look-ups during rotating objects in the Perspective view in Lightwave's Modeler and then I'd have to enlarge that window in order to get things rotating again. And other issues, like Morrowind missing polygons and making wierd stretched out polygons sometimes during game play, and I still get those with these current drivers, but not the look-ups in Modeler anymore or as many wierd missing things and poly issue as before in Morrowind. I've had nothing but sucked problems ever since I built this system and can't wait to build me a system that actually WORKS RIGHT for once. but, anyway, i just want to get Poser back to how it was working the last time I used it, which was fine. So, let me try out that other type of settings and see if that changes things. I'm getting tired of uninstalling apps and then having to reinstall EVERYTHING all over again, as I have lots of Poser objects that I have to get back to where they were before, and it's all a head ache LOL Anyway, thanx for all the help everyone :) .............md :)
Thread: Poser 6 Crashing... I need help! thanx :) | Forum: Poser Technical
Rats! I just tried your suggestion right now, but still a no go. I also realized after I had posted this message that it not only crashes when I try to import something, buyt just seleting the File/Open button also will crash it straight out. I reinstalled the patch again, just incase it got corrupted or something, but that didn't do anything and then I tried the thing you just mentioned and still nothing. I'm open to more suggestions? I was supprised though, that I couldn't seem to find ANY sort of Help info from their own site of the people who make Poser, that e-fronteir site. While I wait to see if you have any other ideas, I guess I'll do a complete uninstall and then a reboot and then clean out the registry with regisrty machanic and reboot again and then reinstall all the updates and the patches and all that and see if that fixes things? Right? I'm too new to Poser, so I am still in the complete newbie stage at this point. thanx too...........md :) .

D`oh! I forgot all about the Daz site, and I've heard about that place a zillion times in the LW forums! I'll have to get over there and bookmark that one too. And thanx for that other link as well, I'll get to that one and check it out as well.I liked when I went to that first site, because I realized they also had all the other desert animals I would need too.
Like Jack Rabbits and little Chipmonks and Kit Foxes and Coyotes and even regular domesticated Goats, which run wild at the high desert regions and can run straight up a rock wall cliff, like it has stairs on it or something! I know, because I've seen them do it right in fron of me before LOL
And the Donkeys that are wild you can see them (mostly at night) milling around and sometimes right next to the highways rolling on the freshly grated sand on the shoulder of the road LOL
The Big Horn sheep are almost extinct, I thyink there are only about 200 to 300 left in the wild, and you never see them, but after something like 15 to 20 years of going to the desert my frineds and me finally seen a small heard of them in on the other side of a canyon.
We've seen them maybe three times in the past 35 years!
It's a treat, I can tell you that :)
Anyway, thanx again all :)
I am very pleased with what I am seeing here.
I also am learing that I may be able to actually create some of my own animals from morhing the current stock animals into new ones.
if I'd known I could do that before, I probably would of not even thought to search out any, but this saves me some time for shots that are farther away.
Otherwise, I can just mondel my own and use the preset riggings that are already in the animals that come with Poser.
Thanx again, I totally appreciate the help :)
My very first Poser to Vue scene I made right after I bought Poser a couple of weeks back, was this one, in case any of you care to look?
It's posted up here at this site somewhere under the Vue Gallery Landscape section, but here's a direct link to it. You can see the link at the top of this reply.
Anyway, thanx a zillion!
