Thread: WIP Cityscape, MrDodoBird? | Forum: Bryce
Wow, looks fantastic. Perhaps one ship in the near field of view, either coming towards the camera or flying away from , just to provide some more depth? Just my thought--either way, you've done a great job.

Congrats, Drac, and welcome back! I presume you already have Bryce installed and are planning your next render....

Here is something you might try: In poser, when you are ready to export, create a cube. Make it large enough to enclose everything in the scene you are planning to export. When you do export, do it piecewise--that is, export one file of just the figure, export one file of just the hair, export one file of just the clothes, etc. When you import into Bryce, save after each import. For example, import the figure first--save. Does it save OK? If yes, go to the next file; if no, then the problem is there somewhere. This process may help figure out what specifically is causing the problem. The reason for the large cube is so that when you import all the various parts into Bryce, they will remain the correct scale and in the correct position. Other things you might try: run the files through Grouper first; try leaving them untextured in Poser and do it manually in Bryce. One other thing: are you importing to a scene in progress, or a blank scene? Try importing to a new document--you can always merge it later. Just some things to try. Hope it works out.

Also, have a look at the textures you use for two things: 1. they should be, at maximum, 4000x4000--Bryce doesn't seem to like them larger than this 2. Bryce also doen't like long file names (forget the exact number of characters), so if you're using an image based tex with a long filename, rename it to something else and re-load it.

Thread: help needed..... | Forum: Bryce
You don't mention what your problem actually is, but the most common problem is that they come out as a solid piece, not looking very lash like at all.
To fix this, you'll need an eyelash transparency (there is one included in most texture packages). The settings should be something similar to the image. The "Blend Transparency" option is pretty important. I usually turn shadows off for lashes, unless doing a closeup where you want to be able to see shadows.
Hope that helps.
Thread: OT: Wow, Grado headphones blow my mind. | Forum: Bryce
I think I remember reading a review in Stereophile magazine a while back about their headphones (may have been the 125s?). Glad to hear you like them (pun intended). I don't usually listen with headphones--never really had the desire to. Happy listening!

UIC = Universe Image Creater. Cool little app for making star fields/galaxies, adding "atmospheric" touches to an image, etc.
