Rebooted several times, and on my third install of Poser 12. The install clears the errors until i click on the included files. It tries to download getting as far as a manifest file then throws up the error again. Have put in a ticket. My first instruction was to reboot my machine.
I Looked at the firewall. Poser 12 has rights to both transmit and receive through the Firewall. Could be a rights issue on the Bondware PoserSoftware server side, but they gave me a new serial key when i paid for the software. I can log into Renderosity and download my purchases without any problem at all.

Thread: Poser 12 and the Included content download error? | Forum: Poser 12
Thanks for the reply. The other problem seems to manifest itself where i am unable to turn the downloads off and select them individually. Have tried turning Poser on and off, even disconnecting the network. It just seems to be stuck there in the Purchased/Included tab. The only thing i can think to do is reinstall Poser 12. Thread: Save CR2 as new geometry file or as original figure geometry file? Which? | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Yes apologies firstly for sort of hi-jacking this thread to ask my own questions. My own thread Below does ask the question of obj save options, but is more towards the problem of the 'Collect Scene Inventory' tool.
Unfortunately, apart from a reply from 'a' Mr hborre, I seamed to be replying to myself mostly.
This thread on the other hand is defiantly more helpful to both myself and VedaDalsette's issues. Your point about the Collect Scene Inventory tool being possibly old and buggy may explain why the scene still loads with everything in it and the way it should be. It is just this one fail that is stopping me from uploading the model to Renderosity. One of their prerequisite's is for all files to be correctly mapped. Even the ones that don't exist.
It becomes very obvious that you know a lot more about Poser than most general users, and for that i am grateful for your tuition. It could well be that you are a 'Poser Big Gun' after all.
Thank you EldritchCellar

Thread: Save CR2 as new geometry file or as original figure geometry file? Which? | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
One possible thought. When i use UV Mapper, the last process is to use the 'Weld' tool before saving the model. When the file is imported into Poser, Does Poser see the obj as already welded or has a Poser Weld to be initiated as well? Thanks. Pat Lane :)
Thread: Save CR2 as new geometry file or as original figure geometry file? Which? | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
@EldritchCellar. My CR2 file creation is far simpler than that of Vedadalsette's 'Paul' Figure. Mine is an inanimate obj prop converted to a figure. It is a chassis for a large heavy goods vehicle.
The original chassis.obj file found in the geometries folder is the same size, has the same amount of vertices & Facets as the chassis-2.obj file created in the character folder. It is a copy of the original obj.
I can see differences between the option to save with original and that of a new geometry file as when running the 'Collect Scene Inventory tool' shows the difference with the new geometry file mapped to the character directory and the original mapped to the geometries directory. (I have two separate runtime directories, chassis-A, Chassis-B one for new and one for original.) I open chassis-A, convert the prop to a figure, save as new geom file to its own runtime directory. Re-open Poser, open chassis-B and save as original for the Chassis-B runtime dir. The problem manifests itself when i open a new scene and import the saved chassis figure from the library into the scene. When i run the scene inventory tool it shows a fail as to where chassis-A 'or' Chassis-B.obj is. It is looking in my primary Poser runtime directory on my C Drive.
I go into each respective chassis cr2 file with a text editor to find the mapping of both obj files in their correct F Drive runtime directories, but no reference or mapping to my primary Poser C Drive directory is found anywhere in either CR2 files. As the reference is not there, i am unable to delete the link. As such the Collect Scene Inventory tool shows the fail of the missing file from the C Drive.
Could there be a default preset in Poser's configuration to map to the primary C Drive directory when it is having difficulty pointing the file to the correct Drive and runtime directory?
Thanks

VedaDalsette.
I have been asking a similar question as to what the difference is between the two options. I have tried both. I get the OBJ file but don't get the PMD file. It is frustrating to find both options seem to be doing the same thing. I can open both saved files in the notepad editor, and they are exactly the same as each other? I just can't see where the difference is.
My own thread where i ask the question of option difference on saving the file seems to have gone dead.
I believe we will have to wait until one of the big gun Poser people stumbles across both our threads to enlighten us both.

Thread: Missing Files in Scene Inventory Script | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Back again. Have created a new obj model prop and turned it into a Poser figure CR2 file. During the conversion from prop to figure there are two options.
A new geometry file saved with the library
the original figure geometry file (Content developers only)
I have saved both options in separate runtime directories on a separate drive (an external hard drive) so there should be no link to to the Poser Runtime Directory on my C Drive. When i select the figure from my library, it loads correctly, but when i run the select scene inventory tool it is giving a fail for a missing obj file with a link to the C Drive Poser Runtime Directory.
I open the CR2 file on my external drive with a text editor to look for the line referencing the OBJ file to the C Drive Poser Runtime Directory. There is no line referencing this specific link to the C Drive in the whole of the CR2 file.
The only reference to this OBJ file is in the line which includes the 'figureResFile-Runtime-Libraries-Character-DLB27.obj Why would Poser during conversion of a prop to a figure map a file to a non existent directory on the C Drive when the original directory map reference in the CR2 file is on my external drive?
Thanks

Thread: Missing Files in Scene Inventory Script | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Ok, i am going on the path of making a new figure from the main OBJ file. This seems to alleviate the ghost file reference in the scene inventory tool. I will nest all the props under the figure, unfortunately i have linked several master parameters for moving parts within the corrupted figure. Is there a way to copy these master parameters to the new figure i have made. Or do in have to create these master parameters again.
Thanks

Thread: Missing Files in Scene Inventory Script | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Thanks hborre. I have opened the CR2 file with notpad plus++ editor several times and searched for the offending line of code pointing to figureResFile C:Drive poser directory. It is not there, there is no reference to this anywhere in the cr2 file. but it still comes up as a missing file when i use the collect scene inventory tool in poser. I have had some success by re-creating just the main OBJ part of my model as a new figure and saving separately to test it. It loads correctly with no missing file errors. Unfortunately this success means recreating the whole model again from scratch.
So i am assuming that there is some corruption of the original model during transition from OBJ to CR2 figure. As the runtime directory containing the OBJ's, CR2 files for my model are on a separate external hard drive, i am dumbfounded as the where the link to my C Drive Poser Directory comes from?
There is a new menu option which pops up when saving to a figure. Save as original figure geometry (content developers only) Save as New geometry figure
Perhaps this points to where the problem originates from? Although i have saved the file as both options several times they still give reference to this ghost file in my C Drive Poser directory when initiating the scene inventory. Is there a Poser Tech Department where i can upload so they can see where the problem is.
Thanks. Pat Lane :)
Thread: Puzzled: is there an update existing April 26th 2020, or not? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you an0malous & Tim. My first thoughts was to wait a while. Perhaps i should copy the text files in future to study each update as they come. And yes an0malous, i am going to delete my second content download and pretend it never happened. I have begun to use the setup room quite a lot recently so it may be best to run the new update. Thanks Tim. Pat :)

Hello. I updated not so long ago to version 11.3.813 and now see there is a newer version of .816. I never bothered copying the .813 text file so i don't know what is different between version .813 & ,816, if there is any significant difference at all. Can i miss out the .816 version and wait for the next big update or do i have to install each in consecutive order? Thanks :)

Hello. I found this free bit of graphic software that you can make really small images down to pixel level, like the size you mention. GraphicsGale it is really useful for making the smallest tiled seamless textures if you get cleaver with it. Thanks. Pat :)
