This is very exciting! It seems like what we've been waiting for for a while. If what e-on claims in the message is true, this sounds like the ultimate solution for integrating environments! BTW, I wouldn't expect it to be free if it does what it says. I'd guess somewhere in the range of $400-800. HarverdGrad, I don't have problems with LW synching - at least not with the latest patches. Have you reported your problem to e-on? They have a very good track of fixing issues and listening to complaints.
Thread: Animation: Geometry Strobe | Forum: Vue
I think this is caused by the geometry being much smaller than a pixel. Try to enable superior AA and see if that improves.
Thread: My New AMD And Vue 5 Esprit | Forum: Vue
FYI, no application can use more than 2 GB of RAM on WIndows. That's a OS limitation. Thank you Microsoft.

Another option in the mean time is to set the folders that contain de textures as default search folders in the Options dialog (third tab).
Thread: New Infinitie Update | Forum: Vue
From what I understand, this message appears because the image listed in the material doesn't exist (probably because you moved it). But Vue finds something that looks suitable somewhere else, and asks confirmation that it's okay to use that one instead of the one actually referred to in the material. The strange thing is that the message didn't appear before the last update. Maybe e-on decided to put that message up systematically now. I agree that it was better before. Having the option to disable the popup would be even better. I think you should report this to e-on. Other than that, however, the update works really well.
Thread: Secret Promotion? | Forum: Bryce
Oh, okay. I knew they had an offer at $69 for the download version. Didn't know there was a Bryce special @ $49, though. But are you sure this was started so long ago? They say it's a one month only promotion.
Thread: Wonder why they've never answered my question at Vue | Forum: Vue
Glad to hear your issue is resolved, Marque. I for myself have always found e-on's support to be top-notch. But honestly, I feel for them. However hard they may try, there will always be people to say that they "only care about getting the money". Just my two cents.
Thread: Claims about Vue 5 Infinite on E-On's website... | Forum: Vue
I have to wonder if WCS is behind this type of questioning. There seems to be some double talk in the replies and the concern is over one word in the marketing? Interesting. I seem to recall an "Adam Hauldren" making presentations for WCS. So, maybe WCS is behind this after all... I'm with you on that one, Vance.
Thread: Vue on MAC or PC? | Forum: Vue
I have access to both platforms, including a dual 2.5Gig G5 and an Athlon 64. The dual G5 is a real render monster. It's almost twice as fast as the AMD64! (in all fairness, this puts ONE G5 at the same level as ONE AMD64). The G5 is a tad pricey, but it's a very nice machine. Vue runs fine on both. Hope that helps.
Thread: Vue 5 Review | Forum: Vue
I agree. I find the review shocking. If I summarize the article, all you can do with Vue 5 is use presets. I find this insulting to all the wonderful artists that post such nice images in the gallery here. Doesn't make me think much of cg focus to hire such poor reviewers.
Thread: All this about Open GL...just curious | Forum: Vue
I'm using an ATI Radeon and find that Vue 5's OpenGL works wonderfully well. Of course, if you start throwing tens of millions of polygons at it, it bogs down. What I do is put some stuff into hidden layers.
Thread: Vue 5.02...newer Build? | Forum: Vue
If I remember rightly, the new build of 5.02 was announced a while back on the e-on registered forums. Vue 5.02 is running flawlessly for me, but maybe my scenes are not quite as complex as yours.
Thread: vue 5 and buffer overrun | Forum: Vue
Did you try installing the 5.02 update? I never ran into this myself, but I'm using 5.02.
Thread: A new quirk my VUE 4 has picked up? | Forum: Vue
Yes, I had this message in Vue 4 on occasions, but never got the deadlock. Haven't had any problems with Vue 5. If you're running into problems with Vue 5, you should report them to e-on tech staff. They have an excellent record of fixing issues.
