When the animation is done rendering in another 12 hours I'll try to figure this out. In the "resample key frames" window there's an option to fill keyframes every X frames, for the selected parameter or all parameters for the object. I'll see if I can reproduce the problem that way. I suppose it could be a memory issue, although I have 16GB on my 2013 MacBook Pro and the Poser file isn't huge (the .pz3 is 29MB and the .pmd is 59MB).

Thanks for the reply. So it seems the problem is not related to the length of the animation. Maybe it has to do with the amount of keyframe data overall? In your test there are no keyframes but in my animation there are hundreds for each parameter, probably thousands altogether, although only seven for the camera.

Not really sure what you are asking. I do not do animations, but pallet does let me go to 8000
Bill
When you double click on a cell in the animation palette the Graph window is supposed to pop up but doesn't with my 8,000 frame animation. Instead, the top half of the main window just becomes an empty white box. It worked fine with a 4,000 frame animation so I'm wondering if the Graph display has a frame limit built in.

I'd guess the slowdown is due to poser indexing the library. On one of my machines this is really slow, so whenever I add anything to a library, move stuff around in poser add libraries etc I get this, with no cure other than to close poser (sometimes even forcing this through task manager)
It behaved the same way when I did a fresh install of 11.2 that has just a few things in the runtime. It's like the 30 second or so wait when Poser is first starting up, before the small start up screen appears, when the system seems frozen and won't even respond to a forced quit. If I recall correctly, before upgrading to Mojave I could switch to another open app immediately after clicking the Poser icon to start up Poser.

Hi @starfish34, despite the version number shown in Finder Info, that should be the latest, you can confirm the actual software's version in the Poser->About Poser... menu, which should be 11.2.272. To confirm that the empty Downloads folder you're seeing in Poser now, isn't the one where your previously installed content was, we'll need to look at your Library preferences from the previous installation, to see what's different. These preferences live within a normally hidden folder called Library in your home directory. To get there in a Finder window, choose Go->Go to Folder... or press Cmd-Shift-G and type in ~/Library/Application Support/Poser Pro In there, you should see a folder called 11 and at least one other folder with a name starting with 11_ and followed by a datestamp like 201909191452 or whenever you ran the installer. In the 11 folder are the current Poser preferences and the other folder has your backed-up preferences. If I choose the 11/LibraryPrefs.xml file in the Finder and press Space a QuickLook popup like this: lets me see the Library Runtimes Poser currently knows about. Doing the same in the 11_20190919HHMM folder, shows me my previous library runtime list, so it's possible to see where that purchased content was previously installed. You may need to add those Runtimes back into Poser, using the Add Runtime + button in the library within Poser.
Thanks for the reply. I've finally managed to add a separate runtime, though still can't get it to see anything put in the Downloads folder. My library prefs look just like yours. But my main concern is that any interaction with the OS, even saving a file, navigating, attempting to add a runtime, anything, has a minute long pause between every action. In other words, the system seems to freeze for a minute and you can't even do a forced quit. I didn't have 11.2.272 but do now, and still have the same problem. I even tried a fresh install and still haven't resolved the problem. None of my other apps have this issue. It's Poser-specific and only happened after upgrading to 11.2.
Thread: Where to find hair for M4 expansion figures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks! That will really come in handy.
Does "just about any figure" include Genesis hair? I haven't used any Genesis characters yet and I'm still hesitant about it. Is it just a simple matter of converting the hair props with DSON and manually fitting and parenting them to the head?
