Nice shot AS. Living in Illinois, we do get an unusual amount of interesting sunsets, compared with having grown up in Wisconsin. Where'd you shoot this? I live about 40 miles SW of Chicago near the infamous Joliet(Blues Bros.), and this looks similar to sunsets I see on a regular basis.

Yeah, me too....ICM.....damn vanity. Nice machine Drac.....I'm jealous in the extreme....I'm 3-6 mos. away from a new machine....hate it when the wife controls the budget,somehow a computer is never in it.

Did you unzip your models and save them to a folder? Once you unzip them you should be able to go to the dropdown menu and under "file" you'll see "Import Object". Locate your folder where you saved your model and the file name should appear there, select it and your model(s) should import to Bryce.

We had some of those here in Illinois last summer. They lasted for an entire summer afternoon. Still got pics of them somewere on my wifes computer.

If you still have Cinema, .obj export is one of the options available. I use it often for converting later version Lightwave models, mainly because I'm in the process of becoming an ex-Bryce user and Bryce hated certain .lwo files.

I just picked up Vue Infinite yesterday, and I must say, I am most impressed. The ecosystems are a godsend for landscapes. I've yet to delve into the deeper nature of ecosystem creation, but the presets alone are fun and impressive. Granted it takes some of the skill out of positioning your foliage on the landscape, but, often times that gets to be a time consuming bit of frustration anyway, and many Bryce users are now more apt to just create forests with photos, simply to save time. The 4 camera view is something that Bryce could have benefited from years ago, that alone makes creating a scen so much more simplified. I've used Bryce for a few years, and have dabbled in Vue, my frustrations with Vue came simply from not having a fast enough system, otherwise I think I would have probably quit Bryce at version 4 and opted for Vue.

The church was a photo and that was proved. Fine, whatever, use photos, add props and render your heart out. At the very least, give credit for the photo. But, the sticking point xenic are the pictures of the wolves that were in acva's gallery, all of them were licensed prints by very real world artists. How is exposing something so blatant more wrong than the theft it self? The very thought that you think calling a thief out and exposing them and ridiculing their acts as wrong, is more wrong than the theft itself is a bit confusing. If it were your art, would you be so lenient? I think pretty much anyone would want that person exposed, and at the very least, a public apology. I think the community would be more apt to forgive if an apology were made. Look, there is no doubt that acva has a degree of creativity, some of the posts were pretty good, so why deceive with someone else's work when you're capable of creating your own, isn't that the point. It's one thing to be inspired by art, I think that's why we do what we do...we're inspired by others to create our own, I don't think despite the saying "good artists borrow, great artists steal" was ever meant to be taken so literally.

Hey- I'm not here to piss anyone off either, and I think photos can and do enhance a lot of works and are used to great effect in many works. It's just that the wolves were a blatant rip-off and I don't think there was any injustice done by Incarnadine or any of the other members that pointed out the fact. If the work is your's or you use photos and the original is given credit, great. But, to use an image and pass it off as your own is blatantly wrong. Only point I was trying to make.
