it's a brilly progress this whole clicking thing, as a Macuser i really enjoy this new feature and it surely is very user-friendly smile
Thread: Images opening in a new window? | Forum: Fractals
oh i really like that double function in the window where the artwork is displayed click on 'close window' and it closes the window click on the artwork and it closes the window hit ctrl w and it closes the window so it is getting pretty advanced this new development of this webcommunity, i wonder what happened to the 'back to thumbnails' feature Oh and we all have to think about those people who still suffers from having a dial-up operation lol
Thread: Weird happenings in the gallery | Forum: Community Center
well the MySQL errors, the server has gone away errors, the site being slow etc etc etc are much more annoying that just using the Command W [CTRL W button for wintellies] to close the window and for those who uses a 5 button mouse like me, from Wacom or equivalent, you can program the buttons to your own preferences... I have programmed the scroll button which can also use as a click to close the window, especially men like that button the most blush
And besides the Command W button is much better to remember than the Command [ button or was it the Command ] button?
smile
good day
Harmen

OOPSies sorry m8, i am since 7 weeks working out in the local fitness centre, and my heartbeat often comes to 180 a minute... Being a professional artist working behind a computer most of the time, surely brings one some extra weight. Which is not good for my health and therefor i am spending time in the gym losing weight. I know it won't happen overnight, but i take the time for that. Have a nice day/night Harmen

Oh Barbara, i know patience is a virtue. In september 2004, i introduced the possibility whether the voting on a design should be an optional button or not, and now the day before yesterday, Nick comes with a public poll and a discussion about it on the Frontpage. I don't mind the waiting... Keep on smiling Harmen

Thread: Apoophysis or Art? | Forum: Fractals
Hmmm... i don't think that message 52 was directed at you for an apology, Keith, more to Tony or whatever his alias is I am pretty sure though that someone is making a dirty head-game out of this whole thread, and we should reconsidder to think about what we really are doing here at this community; discussing whether something is art, or showing and sharing our creative capabilities to create art. I believe the latter is more appropriate and futhermore be supportive for everyone who wants to improve their pieces of work by those who know the lashes of the whip. For the rest we should just ignore this Tony trying to smear dirt over our whether or not daily creations, people like him don't really fit into this community. If ye just don't like the pieces of work others create, don't look at it then. But i assume you don't like any art other than your own, since you just complain in this thread without any positive outcome.
Thread: Apoophysis or Art? | Forum: Fractals
Guess what no one realizes is that Apophysis was spelled wrong on purpose... it's not a 'poop' program, so hope i have straighten that out smile Anyways, what either artist uses to create their piece of work don't matter to anyone, if they are happy with it, that's their choice, and if someone just doesn't like it, thats their choice also Some people don't like my art, and don't see that as art, or as fractal art, just because they don't have it or can't use it for they use a different computer I am very content and happy with the software [artmatic, photoshop, painter] and hardware [iMac G5, Wacom Intuos etc.] i use, i can create things i most likely won't be able to make with Ultra Fractal or Apophysis. It is very hard to have people buy your stuff even when it is made with fractal programs, but i can live from it, art is my profession. And they like to have my work on their walls. Digital art still stands in the childrens shoes, i mean it is quite new. A few years back, i had a very hard time trying to sell work of a former friend, who was brilliant in her Ultra Fractal art. I never had any art school or education for the designs i make, i believe it is a gift from Heaven that i am able to create my work, so i don't follow any rule as Dirk has described above, i do as i feel it is the right thing to do But i want to learn new things also, so i might get myself a wintellie next year to try and learn what most of you do. I am also very busy making sculptures when i get the time for it. Time will change as long as we put our minds to it, the more people see it, the more they will want to have it on their walls also. I have had an exhibition, or the exhibition is till january 7th 2006. I just didn't sell anything. But that is alright, in other countries i do very well. here we people don't have much money to buy us art. And they like other things also than what i have showed on that exhibition. They most likely found my pieces of work too much for their wallet and decided to go to ebay to buy works of mine for a much lower price smile Next year i hope more pure fractal art will be introduced, i will work on that... Hope you all have a most wonderful happy end of the old year 2005 and prepare yourself on a healthy, peaceful 2006, and please don't let yourself get intimidated by those who have no respect for your creations, for you are the one who sees that as what you have created on your screen as your own art. God bless and lots of love Harmen
Thread: Split Of The Gallery? | Forum: Fractals
oh yes Andreas, i see what you mean, but that could also be that darn soccer player, living in England... Also there is one living in Cork, Ireland who in R/L goes by the name Tom, 4 are US citizens, and 1 is Canuck, living in Quebec... I havent checked the other 1000+ of online phonebooks LOL but i am pretty sure there are quite a few all over the world
nah... this is one member who just uses a nick by that name, and wants to impress people with his hatred campaign. I can't just pinpoint one particular member, just because he uploads similar, if not identical designs as Criminally Insane aka Matthew Harvie despite the fact he has about 28 bogus nicks...
so shoot me if i am wrong ... lol
oh btw in DeviantArt he is 'dead', Keith, so you was right about one thing
keep on smiling

Thread: Split Of The Gallery? | Forum: Fractals
hmmm... sorry, guys, it's not Matthew!!! It is someone pretending to be him, using a bogus name ... As far as i have been reading in the archives, Matthew adored Apophysis flame designs. And Andreas, i can't find anything about Anthony (Tony) Yeboah other than the fact that he is a Ghanaian footballer who played for Leeds United F.C. and Hamburger SV
