Is there another way to block such a site in Firefox without the help of an addon?
Thread: bagginsbill, shadow catcher and IDL? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry, i've been out for a long time ;)
So a shadow catcher is something impossible for PP2010?
What about the standard ground, will it only catch the 'real' shadow and not the IDL ones?
As for your volumetric shader Bill, i was thinking about one you showed in a thread i can't find now where you applied it to an orb to make some magical effect.

Just a second thought: should it be possible to have a shadow catcher that works with IDL shadows instead of AO shadow?
Since the arrival of IDL into Poser, i never use AO anymore.

Please, tell me why i haven't thought about that... O_O
Will try and tell you :)
Thread: Dynamic Hair Renders Thread | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - I took Shena hair by Adorana and upped the number of hairs in some of the top groups to 300-400, and reduced the root/tip widths to 0.2 or 0.3 and 0.1 - see the results of this in the most recent renders in my gallery. What you start to do in this way is produce a head of hair with realistic hair numbers and dimensions.
Carodan, there is something i don't understand here, you multiply the number of hairs by 300-400 or you add 300 to 400 hairs?
Generally i double the number and get good results, by multiplying by 300 seem out of reach of my computer...

Best technic is what grichter said, though it is possible to launch all the simulations at the same time:
from the top menu, Animation/Recalculate Dynamics/All Cloth.

Another thing commonly used: the-corner-of-the-bed-in-the-foot-toe... you can't go wrong with this method either ;)

Unfortunately, there is no perfect light set that will match every renders :(
You can set up lights that goes perfectly with a scene you're working on, but if you build another scene and want to add the same light set to illuminate it, there is few chance that it will match this scene too, you always have to tweak a light here or something there.
So i don't think an "automatic light system" could be of some use.
I have bought some light sets, but it was always because i was interested in something in particular in these sets, such as a probe map or a HDR one :)

Oh blush i haven't seen this thread sooner :)
As i emailed to akura some time ago, i used the HDR as probe light from the mec4d light set linked above with one infinite light. This was rendered in PoserPro, so no Indirect Illumination at this time :)
The background is not a photo but a Stonemason set. The character and background have been rendered in one shot, so no composition, only a big use of dof in post with DOFPro in Photoshop.
Now i have IDL with P8, but at this time i was trying to simulate it in PPro :)

Quote - Click "apply" in D3D's render script and then close the D3D script window and then render in background. Works on my Mac version.
Are you sure it's the D3D settings that are applied when rendering? Or the Poser default's?
