I've had some serious computer woes as of late. So I wasn't able to to enter this months challenge. (I need a new graphics card.)

I have a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard. I too had the same problem when I upgraded to Snow Leopard. Well my problems started when I went to Leopard.

I don't think my problem is the same as yours, but you never know. I found out that my Open GL is not upgradeable in Snow Leopard or Leopard for that matter. It has to do with my graphics card. It was made by Intel and is not compatible with withe the newer OS's. And to make matters worse, DAZ never took the time to work all the bugs in their software at the time of the Leopard release (Bryce 6.1).

I am now running Bryce 6.0 because it's more stable then 6.1 and I can't run the newest version of DAZ3D for the same reason. I can build and render.  But  (and it's a big but.)  it takes forever to render. I was told there is no fix. That is unless DAZ update Bryce and DAZ3D. Which they have in DAZ Studio and not for Bryce. I understand Bryce in the works.

For me their are no fixes that will not work ( Graphics Card)  unless I buy a new computer.

Sometimes I'm thinking ahead of what I'm typing. And it just doesn't come out right. Plus there was no way to fix it once it was posted.

Does this include a graphic I make and add to a 2D plane for say a ground blast?

Rj, Thank for your input on the steam. I turned it into dust instead. That was going to be the reason for this post. That is until I read the remarks above. Not wanting to make enemies here. But I always say put up or shut up.

Can someone point me to a good looking steam effect? Whenever I try to make steam the sphere outline shows up.  Rj?

I hear a lot of complaining at what DAZ is or isn't doing to keep Bryce up to date. What I want to know is what features would you like to see added to Bryce that would make it a better program?

I'll start. I would love to see a Vector Shape Lab. (Vector may not be the right word to use.) But it would be something like the Tree, Lighting and Sky Labs. Only you would be able to build more complex shapes in this Lab. I don't think it would be too difficult  to add this to the program, as it would be a sub program within Bryce. I also think that this would give it back some of the edge it seem to be missing.

What else?

I love it. Count me in. Great challenge! My head is already bubbling with ideas.
