So adp001, can you turn on any additional lighting, shaders, shadows, raytracing, etc with a video card? I know that’s the kind of thing these cards do, but I wasn’t sure if poser was setup to actually use those features.

Ah.... i have not tried the second of those but I will give it a shot next time this happens. I did try task switching, no dice.

I will take a look Phil. Thanks very much for the kick-start. And I've been using your show pop on/off script for a week or so svdl. It is useful as well, though i never really notice the diff once rendered (as the original thread suggested). I just use it to look for missing patches.

Cool trick! That would require me to create each hair style (really all the same hair in a diffrent place in the timeline) on a diff. skull cap but that would still be much quicker than doing each by hand. Much thanks Phil! Still though, i think i need to start learning some scripting before too much longer if i am going to keep growing.
Thread: Poser 7 SR2 versus Cloth Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I haven’t reliably been able to use cloth since upgrading to P7, P7 SR1, and P7 SR2 either (tried running on two different computers). I’ve had so many types of failures I can’t even count. This one where the sim resets included.
Thread: Poser 7.0.2 Supports the 3DConnexion SpaceNavigator | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just thought I would add my thoughts on the Space Navigator device. I’ve been using it in SketchUp 5/6 and Google Earth for almost 6 months at work and really love it. Of course, in that app you can really fly around the scene using the standard mouse/keyboard UI really well. For poser with its relatively limited navigation options I think this thing will be even more useful. I haven’t used it yet in Poser but I’m defiantly buying one for home to try it out. They range from less then $50 up to $400 depending on the model (besides SN they have three other models). But I’ve always used the SN and have no regrets.

David, I don't have time to make a catsuit (i'm only a hacker of a modeler outside of sketchup) but if you've got one you can distribute I can possibly help you with the body hair.

Yes, there are more details than that, but basically any obj can be clothified. Once again, there are many pointers in the tutorials section under dynamic cloth.

Don't give up without giving it a shot. Download a free modeling program like Blender. I personally use wings3d (also free). I"ve made quite a few items and didn't spend any money. It does take some time but you might be surprised by how much you can learn to do!

**Wow! Looks great but you are sure more commited then me! Just too much work! Use of catsuit is cool but I know I gotta stick with a a texture based hair even though it could not possibly be as good as the effect you have obtained.
Lol... thanks. I wish we had faster, more capable software where cloth and hair are concerned so we didn't have to settle for workarounds. Honestly I go to this much trouble with cloth sims too but P7's woes have been such a source of frustration that I haven’t used poser much at all lately. But I'm glad at least a few people like my idea for body hair.

As long as the zoom didn’t change drastically it would be ok to readjust for each ‘cut’ of the camera. But if you wanted to have a well integrated zoom you’d have to either build something like you’ve suggested or do a lot of editing in post to splice different animations. Again, I’m not sure I’ve fully answered the question but I really haven’t taken this to its conclusion yet myself. Since there wouldn’t be a major call for women with body hair from the masses, I suspect this is a pretty niche solution. But if I were to ever model myself in 3D I’d need this one!=) Men always look so fake due to lack of believable body hair. Plus how cool would this be for furry aliens or animals? Regardless I think I’ll try to play with this idea more in the future… either as with this hippie crush from my past or in some other incarnation.

Not sure I understand the question David... the hair moves with her in an animation. I grew it on a catsuit converted to dynamic cloth. This gets around the need to have different groups on each body part and allows me to use all the custom body morphs I can’t live without. It also gives me a handy way to transfer the hair if I ever need something like this in another project. I just hide the body suit and leave the hair visible. It is a VERY complicated solution to a very rarely confronted problem. But I love trying to strive for realism… even though I’m not very good at it most of the time.

Lol... i think i'm convinced. I've never heard that many positive reviews for one site before!

Quote - Pubic hair is fine :) Just make sure that your pose doesn't expose the inner bits of the female anatomy that are not normally seen from the outside.
Lol, I think with this case she is very well covered down there...

Quite a few. For example, I used hair groups pointing to the right, left, up and out for both the pubic and belly button region. Pretty much any part where hair naturally crisscrosses meant I had to use multiple groups. Plus in some areas I had to use overlapping groups of varying densities to get a smooth fade out such as going from her shin (with lots of hair) to her upper thigh (where it eventually disappears). I also used a few for her bangs, but that is pretty normal these days.
