Thread: Anybody else seen THIS yet...! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Er...no offense pal, but, there are LOTS of Truespace users out there, and unlike Max ,Lightwave, and Maya users they don't have tons of options for character creation, cloth simulation, etc... Also I'm willing to bet that the demographics for Poser and Truespace users line up better because Truespace like Poser is affordable and has an easy to learn interface. I'd love to have Lightwave 7. (Seriously considered it.) It's great software and It is pretty affordibly priced but I don't want to spend the extra 1000 dollers on it just to have to learn the most basic operations from the ground up again, and have 3 better versions come out by the time I get to using the features that lightwave has over TS. :) Hell, I haven't even Upgraded TS for 2 versions. (If you could slap LW render engine and animation tools into truespaces interface and modeller I'd be pretty happy.)

Damn looks like I may actually have to upgrade from TS 4.3 if they do make TS and poser a lot more compatible. as a partnership it would make a ton of sense. both programs have similar user bases, because of their price and ease of use. and unfortunately both programs (like Rodney Dangerfield) get no respect from folks who use more expensive (Though not always better) software. :)

You'll have to set it up in poser. Truespace's bones are kinda lacking anyway. BTW, Get the Luuv plugin for properly importing and exporting .obj files, if you don't have it yet. Look in the 'rosity TS forum for a link.

Sorry If I came off too harsh. Basically as long as there are a few different morphs everyone should be happy.

Um, how many of the lights were casting shadows? and really did you need a shadow map that big?

BTW those chunky fleshy anime character designs were all the rage in the 80s. See Toshihiro Hirano, and Haruhiko Mikimoto's designs.

"id thin the arms down a bit, they look a little too beefy for anime, and in proportion to her legs and torso. also, id round her breasts more. they look a little flat and conical, as opposed to the little rounded spherical ones you see in anime." Where do people get these ideas? It's probably because so many animes in the last 10 years have featured overly developed prepubescent girls. :( Anime is a medium.... but even as a sub Genre of that medium Japanese animation has many many styles with every type of body style you can imagine. From very realistic to ridiculously stylized. Every character designer and manga artist have a unique style. Though certain common features often but don't always appear. If I was gonna pick 2 features that I said were quintessentially anime it would be large eyes (varrying from slightly large to huge) and disproportionately long legs...anything else varies tremendously from artist to artist. (The legs are more of an 80s thing though... :)) Sorry about this I've just seen these types of comments one too many times. BTW The character looks great. Very authentic (Unlike Aiko which suffers from the type of misconceptions about anime that many non fans seem to have.) will she be commercial? I'd probably buy her IF she comes with enough morphs to create a few different characters.

Man Hair collision detection is still basically useless. It just goes nuts when I use it. I've not yet decided if I'm gonna use Dynamic hair in My animation project... (I'm still experimenting.) But if I do, I'll probably just Turn collision off and use the "Dynamic strength" (IIRC) dial to keep the bangs from intersecting with the head and stuff. You know turn it up a little as it swings away from the head and down when it comes back. CL, I have not complained much at all since getting P5, but the Hair collision NEEDS to be fixed!
