Yes, I am having great problems too. Often the comments I post do not appear. Or I get a page that says there is no picture to attach the comment to. I get 'timed out' pages when trying to view large images now and then. I am on dial up, but R'osity has never been this slow ever before. I thought going to l per day posts would speed thing up. Looks like that is not the case. I have even deleted about half my gallery images hoping that would help. I am extremely frustrated. I'm now posting at 3D commune and have all my decent images at http://community.webshots.com/user/_marion70 I am about to give up on R'osity. Marion (kansas)
Thread: Change To Gallery Uploads & The New "Gallery Plus" | Forum: Community Center
One image per day is fine. No fees. Keep it free. I agree with others who said to clean up their gallery. I did that just this morning--got rid of a great number of my old images. I already pay to have all my images on Webshots. I don't get the many comments there, but I sure get lots of views. Question: Does this have something to do with the legislation about internet taxation? I think the moritorium that was placed on internet taxing will be up tomorrow. I believe this taxation issue is not just for taxing internet sales. I believe it is much broader. kansas (Marion)

Thread: Changes to the Gallery - Small step for protection | Forum: Community Center
I am not in favor of this change. Most of my fractals are on Webshots in albums and they are open to the public. There are dozens of downloads of my images each week. I think this is wonderful and I'm pleased if others enjoy seeing and downloading my pics. If they can make some money off them, so much the better. But mainly----WHEN DID RENDEROSITY BECOME OUR CARETAKER?--- We are each of us to be responsible for ourselves and our actions. If I am worried about the theft of one of my images, then it is UP TO ME TO REFRAIN FROM POSTING IT ON THE INTERNET ANYWHERE! My two cents worth. Marion

Just wanted to say "Thanks" for the new Apophysis which finally works on my computer. Now for some practice. Marion
Thread: Voting on Gallery Uploads | Forum: Community Center
This is a hard one. I enjoy looking at ALL posts, but there are soooo many that it consumes several hours of my time each day, usually twice daily, to see them all. Somehow I think the number of posts should be limited, but I'm not sure how that will work. Some artists may leave Renderosity due to limiting the number of posts per day/week. I usually only post an image once every week or two. Sometimes I feel that some artists post each and every render they make instead of being more selective of what would be considered "Art".

What a blessed gift you two have been given. She is wonderful and so precious. Just LOVE her and each other and she will be a joy forever. Some wise person once said that the best gift a father can give his children is to love their mother.

Thank you very much, Mark, for your response. I will certainly give it a try. I did not know such a capability was possible. Marion
Thread: Apophysis? | Forum: Fractals
I recently installed Windows 2000. Previously I had Windows 98, 2nd Edition and at that time Apophysis worked fine. Now it will open but when I click the icon to work with the program, the entire program shuts down. I am extremely puzzled. I have even uninstalled it and re-installed it a couple times. Any help would be appreciated.
Thread: O's gallery, new link | Forum: Fractals
Thanks for the link. I visited the site and am pleased it is available. I have always admired the art of "O", especially his spiral series 3 with the lines. When he posted to the newsgroups I saved many of his and really enjoy looking at them again and again.
Thread: ?-Viewers' Responses = Your Own?-? | Forum: Fractals
This is my first visit to this forum. I have posted to newsgroups and fractal-world. Often it seems that viewers post comments knowing that human nature leads the artist to post a nice comment to their artwork in return. Therefore, I am not sure that comments and the rating system are an honest appraisal of anyones artwork in most cases. Some viewers, I believe, do post their honest opinions, but they are few. Having no art training, I have a hard time posting comments that are an actual critique of anyones artwork. I either like what I see, often because of the shape and/or coloring and can say no more. I know what appeals to me, but I enjoy seeing the world through someone elses eyes, ie, fractals. We each have our own style and I do not think we should be influenced to change our style just because we do not recieve tons of favorable comments. Hope this makes sense. Marion
